 Introduction:
 Faculty of education was first established in 1986 as a natural development of
 the diploma of education of the Islamic African Center. It was academically
 affiliated to Omdurman Islamic University which offered B.A degree in
 education up till 1991.The new formation of the I.U.A under the title college of
 education and humanities.
 The faculty incorporated the following departments:
 Economics, Arabic, Geography, History, Foreign languages, Political Science,
 Education, Islamic studies and Management.
 The separation of departments of economics and management studies in 2000
 was the basis for the faculty of economics, Management and political sciences
 were introduced, i.e. this section or department has developed into Faculty of
 Economics, Administration and political sciences in 2003, the board of trustees
 issued a resolution to establish two separate colleges:
 Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Education. Faculty of Education is to offer
 educational subjects, whereas the faculty of Arts to offer the other subjects:
 (A) Faculty Goals and Aims:
     1. To train highly competent teachers in different subjects.
     2. To train highly competent Research specialists.
     3. To provide the Muslim African Universities with competent education
          and Research specialists.
 (B) Faculty Departments; (will increase in the future)
 Faculty is comprised of the following departments:
     1. Educational Administration.
     2. Foundations of Education and educational psychology.
     3. Curriculum and Educational Technology.
     4. Department of Distance Learning.

     (C) Degrees Awarded by Faculty:
        1. Teaching Diploma.
        2. Intermediate Diploma in the following three specializations: (Academic
            studies, Islamic studies and Quranic studies).
        3. B.A of education in one of the following specifications.

             Educational psychology.
             Curriculum and teaching methods.
             Educational Technology.
     The academic subjects added as minor specialization are:
             Either Arabic language or Islamic studies as a major academic subject
               and a minor of the following subjects.
             Geography, History, English language, Math and science.
         1. Higher Education Diploma.
         2. Master in Education (M.A).
         3. Ph.D. in Education.
     Unless the student satisfies the university requirements will not be eligible to
     any degree.

     The student will be awarded the degree when he satisfies the required credit
     hours for each degree as follow:
