					Role of Tourism Industry in the Development of Tourism
Tourism is an industry trade in services which have a complex regulatory mechanism for the movement
of tourists include the setting of his native country, in a tourist destination to return to their home
country involving a variety of things such as transportation, lodging, restaurants, tour guides, and
others. Therefore, the tourism industry plays a very important role in tourism development.

In carrying out its role, the tourism industry must apply the concepts and the applicable regulations and
guidelines in the development of tourism in order to be able to maintain and increase the number of
tourists who will aim to provide economic benefits for the tourism industry and local communities.
Tourism industries is a very important role in tourism development are: travel agents, hotels and
restaurants. It is also supported by the supporting industries other tourism.

Travel agency is a bridge between tourists with accommodation providers, restaurants, adventure tour
operators, tourism operators and others. Tourists generally use the services of a travel agency in
determining the plan road trips (tour itinerary), but it was likely travelers own travel arrangements. In
the context of the development of tourism, travel agents have several important include:

a.mendatangkan tourists. Ignorance of the tourist destinations to be visited is the main driver for using
the services of a travel agency as his guide;

b.meminimalisasi impacts caused by tourists. Travel agency shall provide pre-trip (pre-tour information),
literature, or other manual things that can and can not be done during his stay in tourist destinations to
avoid negative impacts on the environment and socio-cultural life society. Other actions that can be
done is by using a system of setting the number of tourists visit on a small scale so that it can reduce the
intensity of direct touch with nature and the tourists do not exceed capacity (over-visited) tourist
destinations;

c.meminimalisasi impacts caused by the operators of tourism product sellers. This can be done by
providing knowledge and insight to the managers, staff and other employees of the importance of
environmental conservation and socio-cultural community;

d.menyediakan training program for managers, staff and other employees about how to communicate
and deal with the tourists as they interact directly with the environmental and socio-cultural
community;

e.memberikan funding for nature conservation as one of pruduk or travel package;

f.memberikan opportunities for local people to work according to its competence;

g.menyediakan tour packages that are environmentally friendly.
There are four components involved as a liaison between international tourists by tourism activity,
namely: travel agents, outbound tour operators, inbound tour operators and local service providers.
Travel Agent is a travel agency that offers a variety of services and domestic and international tour
packages that sell directly to potential tourists. Outbound Tour Operator is a tour operator that
specializes in selling a complete package (complete package tour) abroad. Tour packages, tourist
activities, and scheduled departure and arrival are programmed in a mature and built into a single
brochure, pamphlet and the website that contains all the information about the package. Outbound
tour operators in cooperation with inbound tour operators in handling tourist destination of tourists and
tour packages provide all the services it sells. Inbound tour operator is an international tour operator
located in the tourist destination that provides all services from arrival to tourists in a tourist destination
visited by tourists to their country of departure. Local Service Providers are local components supporting
the proposition provider of tourism such as accommodation, local transportation, local guides, craft
shops and cindramata. All components are managed locally based community.
