warm up and stretch the muscles in your upper body. You can stretch
these muscles by gently twisting from side to side and bending forward
and backward from your waist. Put your hands on your waist; slowly
and gently twist to the left, hold for about 10 seconds. Repeat by
twisting to the right. The next area you should concentrate on
stretching is your neck and upper back. To stretch out your back, bend
gently from the waist - first forward and then backward. Don't force the
stretch. For your neck, drop your chin to your chest and hold the
position for about 10 seconds; then drop the back of your head towards
your upper back and hold that position for 10 seconds.

body. But no matter what, you need to allow some time for your body
to heal and rebuild.

The next important consideration, besides spacing your workouts, is to
make sure you get an acceptable amount of sleep each night. When
you are sleeping, your body is rebuilding and healing from your regular
day, plus you’re exercising. If you don't get enough sleep, you will be
groggy and more subject to injury when you exercise. Adequate sleep
will leave you feeling refreshed, with high energy levels, which will
make you feel great.

When you plan a fitness regimen, it's imperative to include a
comprehensive warm-up using stretches in order to prevent injuries.
And, also, at the end of your fitness workout, you must do cool-down
stretches. If you try to take shortcuts, you leave yourself liable to injury.
