									Victor-Farmington Food Cupboard News

Hard to believe it is March and Spring is right around the corner, but I thought it would be a good time
to highlight a wonderful achievement of our church. 2011 donation of dollars and food from VUMC
helped feed over 1700 people in our community!

We’re off to an amazing start for 2012 already too. In the month of February alone we donated 218 lbs.
of food to the Food Cupboard. When we delivered the latest batch of soup donations from our Super
Bowl initiative and our Pinewood Derby food collection initiative, there were less than a dozen cans of
soup on the shelves to serve all of our clients for the week. Well, the shelves are looking fantastic after
we delivered over 8 cases of soup thanks to all of you. Our friends at other local churches and the
community are all pitching in as well.

The Food Cupboard is moving to our new location at 1246 Commercial Drive, Building B in Farmington.
We will be occupying a building front that’s part of Farmington Mini Storage. From Route 9, cross over
Route 332, then make a left onto Commercial Drive (just past Comfort Inn). We will be “Open for
Business” on Monday, March 5th to serve our clients and will maintain the same hours of operation –
Mondays and Wednesday – 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Food donations can still be left any time on the front
porch of our 221 High Street location temporarily OR brought to our new location during our hours of
operation only.
