Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of East Providence, Inc.:
Criteria: 1) Must be a graduating senior who is a resident of the city of East
Providence, RI; 2) Must submit a copy of CSF financial aid form.

The Rhode Island Society of Professional Engineers (RISPE):
RISPE is pleased to announce the availability of a scholarship for high school
seniors who wish to pursue a college degree in engineering. Please see Mrs.
Calderone in the Guidance Department for more information and/or an application
or visit www.rispe.org.

West Bay Chorale (Excellence in Music Award):
Criteria: 1) Student of vocal performance; 2) Resident of Rhode Island; 3) Senior
in high school graduating 2011 and accepted into a college or university planning to
major in music; 4) Must audition. See Mrs. Calderone for an application.

The Mario Della Grotta OCD Awareness Foundation Scholarship:
Criteria: 1) Must be a graduating high school student in Rhode Island who has been
diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD); 2) Must be applying to a
4-year college or university. If you are interested in applying, go to website:

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program:
Applicants are encouraged to apply who will be enrolling for full-time study as
first-time freshmen at a 4-year college or university; plan to major in one of the
following: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Business Administration,
Finance, Marketing or Design and are interested in the automotive or related

NEFE High School Financial Planning Program Scholarship:
Criteria: Must have completed a certified financial education course or a financial
literacy course offered by a Roundtable member company or community service
Partner. Must be a graduating senior entering a college/university/trade school
and must exhibit academic success, respectable character, and financial need. See
Mrs. Calderone for an application.

Matthew Siravo Epilepsy Scholarship:
Criteria: 1) Must be under a doctor’s care for Epilepsy; 2) Must be a Rhode
Island high school senior applying to or accepted into college. To apply, download
an application from website: www.MattyFund.org.

Portuguese American Citizens Committee of Rhode Island Scholarship:
Must be of Portuguese ethnicity. A person is of Portuguese ethnicity if at least
one parent is of one hundred percent (100%) Portuguese ethnicity. Verification of
this ancestry is required. For an application see Mrs. Calderone in the
Guidance Dept.

The Aaron and Rita Slom Scholarship Fund:
The Aaron and Rita Slom Scholarship Fund for Freedom and Diversity will provide
up to two $500.00 college scholarships for high school seniors. Students will
submit an interpretive work focusing on the George Washington Letter to the
Hebrew Congregation in Newport, RI, in context with the present time. For more
information and/or an application, see Mrs. Calderone in the Guidance Department
or visit www.tourosynagogue.org.

The John P. Burke Memorial Fund Scholarship:
This scholarship is available for students who have worked at a member golf club
of the Rhode Island Golf Association. Information and applications are available at
www.burkefund.org.

Cataract Fire Company Scholarship:
Criteria: 1) Must be a high school senior who is a Warwick, RI resident and
entering into their first year of a two-year, four-year or vocational/technical post-
secondary institution; 2) Ability to demonstrate financial need; and 3) students
need not possess high academic excellence. See Mrs. Calderone for an application.
DEADLINE: April 15, 2011

Desiree Mesolella Art Scholarship:
Applicants should be a U.S. citizen and have applied to and been accepted into a
U.S. Department of Education accredited 4 year college or school majoring in an
art field. A portfolio is required. See Mrs. Calderone for an application or go on

Pawtucket Credit Union’s Investing in Your Future Scholarship:
Criteria: Applicant must be a member of Pawtucket Credit Union. Must be a
graduating high school student enrolled or accepted as full-time student in a
college/university undergraduate program. Must have proof of acceptance.

Katie DeCubellis Memorial Foundation:
Criteria: 1) Must be a CURRENT active member of their school’s SADD program.
This scholarship is in memory of Katie DeCubellis, a 13 year old Narragansett
student killed by a drunk driver on October 29, 1999. Each year the Foundation
will provide two $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors about to further their
education in a technical program or a two or four year college program. See Mrs.
Calderone in the Guidance Office for an application.

CHUMS, Inc. Scholarship:
Criteria: 1) Must be of African-American/black heritage descent; 2) Academic
achievement, financial need and a personal statement are required. See Mrs.
Calderone in the Guidance Department for an application or go to website:
www.providencechums.org to download an application and get more information.
DEADLINE: April 30, 2011

Navigant Credit Union Scholarship:
Criteria: Any student who is a member of Navigant Credit Union or has an
immediate family member who is a member. Must be a graduating senior entering
an accredited college, university or technical school. See Mrs. Calderone in the
Guidance Department for an application.
DEADLINE On or before May 6, 2011

Rhode Island Association of Admission Officers (RIAAO):
This program provides financial assistance in the form of a one-time $500
scholarship to five (5) first year students graduating from a Rhode Island high
school and enrolling in one of the following RIAAO institutions in the fall of 2011:
Brown University, Bryant University, CCRI, Roger Williams University, Providence
College, RIC, URI, etc. See Mrs. Calderone for more information.
