IAIP: Listening Leads to Learning $15—Terri Stambaugh

If you ask someone if they heard what you said, they will almost always respond with a "Yes”. If you ask them if

people when the receiver interprets and understands the sender’s message in the same way the sender intended
it. Effective listening demands that you pay attention to what is said. This course will provide tools that you can
use to improve your interpersonal effectiveness in your career and in your personal life. 2 hours.

IAIP: I CAN! The Risk Management Process- Joan Kuhn
Recently added to the I CAN! Series (August 2010) - Most risk managers agree that the practice of their profession
is a combination of decision-making and problem solving. All risk management jobs have a dual goal: to minimize
both the chances that a loss will occur and the financial impact of losses which cannot be prevented. Within the
parameters of these descriptions is a five-step process that all risk managers adhere to. Because everyone faces
the possibility of accidental loss, everyone must, to some degree, manage risk. Over a 30-minute period, looks at
how professional risk managers do this and how it affects other jobs within the insurance industry. 30 minutes

Attendees will need to order their own IAIP books in order to receive credit.
