2.2   Ratings

      A) DGF-CT-A

         1.     The Ground Fault relay shall be DIN rail mount and surface mount
                capable.

         2.     Current Sensing shall be PLEASE FILL IN

         3.     Integral (for conductors up to 4 #2 or 3 # 1 gauge) or

         4.     External using a zero-sequence, 1000:1 CT (for conductors sizes)
                greater than 4#2 or 3 #1 gauge)

         5.     The Ground Fault relay shall have pickup settings of 0.5 to 10A

         6.     The Ground Fault relay shall have delay settings of 0.5 to 10
                seconds

         7.     The relay shall operate successfully over the range of control
                voltage of 24 – 250V AC or DC. Control Power shall not exceed
                1.5VA.

         8.     Output contacts shall be one Form Z (Form A and Form B) rated
                at 5A @250V AC or 5A @30V DC rated.

         9.     Relay operation shall be Failsafe, Non-failsafe and Pulsing Auto-
                reset.

         10. A self-test mode shall be incorporated to verify functionality of the
             relay.

         11. Remote test and reset shall be possible using external push
             buttons.

  12. A flashing green LED on the front panel shall indicate trip. The
      same LED shall indicate Power ON when pulsing slowly.

  13. Operating temperature of the relay shall be within –35C to +60C

  14. The relay shall be CSA certified and will conform to CE
      requirements.

  15. The relay shall be IPC Resistors DGF-CT-A or equivalent.

  16. Current Sensors when required for the ground fault relay shall be
      1000:1 ratio and be zero-sequence toroidal or rectangular
      window. Current Sensors shall be IPC Resistors type T or type R.

  17. Ground Fault Relays shall be IPC Resistors type DGF-CT-A or
      approved equal.



B) GFR-RM

       1.   The relay shall be microprocessor based and shall be
            capable of utilizing zone interlocking.

  18. The relay shall have indication for “Ground Fault”, “Resistor Fault”
      and “Power On”, as well as “Zone Interlock“ and “Resistor Monitor
      Off”.

  19. The Neutral Grounding Resistor shall be monitored for open/short
      circuit resistance values.

  20. The monitor shall detect out-of-tolerance resistance by
      measurement of both the current through – and voltage across –
      the resistor and determine resistance accordingly. The monitor
      shall Alarm/Trip within 1.5s when the calculated NGR resistance
      is less than 67% or greater than 150% of the nominal value of the
      resistance.

  21. The monitor shall operate at system voltage of _______V [480 or
      600V / 2400V /4160V / 7200V].

  22. The monitor shall operate to determine NGR resistance over the
      range of __________[1A to 4A or 5A to 400A or 500A to 2,500A]
      using a current transformer with ________[100:1 or 500:1 or
      /10,000:1] to detect ground current in the NGR.

23. A CT shall monitor the current in the resistor. Voltage shall be
    measured using a sensing resistor connected between the
    system star-point and the monitor.

24. The monitor shall have adjustable Trip settings on Ground Fault
    at settings of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 40% and 50% at
    NGR maximum current.

25. Delay shall be adjustable between Instantaneous and 3.15
    seconds in 32 settings.

26. The monitor shall operate Trip and Auxiliary Form C contacts for
    annunciation of a shorted or open grounding resistor fault
    condition.

27. The monitor shall be capable of Fail-Safe (Trip on loss of control
    Power) or Non Fail-safe operation.

28. The monitor shall operate with Control Power voltage of 24-250V
    AC/DC.

29. Reset control shall be selectable and shall be capable of
    automatic or manual (both locally and remotely) controlled.
    Holding the unit in the Reset condition shall not inhibit Trip
    operation.

30. The monitor shall operate successfully at temperatures between –
    40°C and +60°C.

31. The monitor shall be IPC Resistors GFR-RM-F or equivalent.

32. CT for the Neutral Grounding Monitor shall be supplied and have
    a ratio of 1000:1.

33. The CT shall be IPC Resistors type T or type R.

C) GADD MKIII

          2. The Ungrounded or High Resistance-Grounded system shall
             be protected by a Ground Fault detection system. The
             Ground Fault System shall Alarm on the first fault occurrence
             exceeding a 50% shift in voltage relationships.

          3. A form C, 10A, 240V AC contact shall be provided for the
             Alarm device. The Alarm contacts shall reset with operation of
             the Alarm Silence push button.

          4. Flashing LED indication lights, mounted on the fault detection
             panel, shall provide indication of the faulted phase. A manually
             operated RESET switch shall reset this indication.

          5. A green LED shall indicate all functions of the relay are
             normal.

          6. A yellow LED shall indicate the presence of a blown fuse of
             the resistor network.

     34. Total fault magnitude shall be indicated by a bar-graph indicator
         scaled from 0 to 100% in 10 segments representing 10% per step
         (of maximum Voltage displacement). Faulted phase and level
         information shall be derived from a voltage divider resistance unit
         connected to the supply.

     35. The control supply shall be 120V AC, 50/60Hz, 50VA. fused.

     36. The Ground Fault Alarm and Indication unit shall be IPC type
         GADD MKIII.

D) GADP

       7. The High Resistance-Grounded system shall be protected by
          a Ground Fault detection system. The Ground Fault System
          shall Alarm on the first fault occurrence exceeding a 50% shift
          in voltage relationships.

  37. A form C, 10A, 240Vac contact shall be provided for the Alarm
      device. The Alarm contacts shall reset with operation of the Alarm
      Silence push button.

  38. Flashing LED indication lights, mounted on the fault detection
      panel, shall provide indication of the faulted phase. A manually
      operated RESET switch shall reset this indication.

  39. A green LED shall indicate all functions of the relay are normal.

  40. A yellow LED shall indicate a blown fuse of the resistor network.

  41. Total fault magnitude shall be indicated by a bar-graph indicator
      scaled from 0 to 100% in 10 segments representing 10% per step
      (of maximum voltage displacement). Faulted phase and level
      information shall be derived from a voltage divider resistance unit
      connected to the supply.

  42. The control supply shall be 120V AC, 50/60Hz, 50VA fused.

  43. The fault-locating module shall control current in the current
      limiting neutral–ground resistor such that the Ground current
      during the fault, shall pulse on and off, so as to provide visibility
      during the fault location process.

  44. Normal and inverted operation of the current control shall allow
      the user to select pulse-up or pulse-down operation.

  45. During Pulse operation a LED indicator shall indicate when pulse-
      current is on.

  46. Interlocking control with fault shall prevent operation of the pulse
      current unless an actual fault has been detected. This interlock
      shall be removable when desired by the user.

    47. The Ground Fault Alarm and Indication unit shall be IPC type
        GAPD.

 E) DSA

          8. The Ground Fault detection and location system shall be
             provided for the high resistance grounded system. It shall
             Alarm on the first fault occurrence exceeding 50% of the
             maximum Ground current rating of the system.

    48. The Alarm function shall operate on maximum Ground current
        settings from 1A to 17A.

    49. A form C, 10A, 240V AC contact shall be provided for the Alarm
        device. The Alarm contacts shall reset with operation of the Alarm
        Silence push button.

    50. Indication of the faulted phase shall be provided by LED indication
        lights, mounted on the fault detection panel.

    51. Total fault magnitude shall be indicated by a bar-graph indicator
        scaled from 0 to 100% in 10 segments representing 10% per step
        (of maximum Ground Current Rating).

    52. Faulted branch indication shall be indicated with Feeder Modules.
        Each Module shall be equipped with a red LED indicator for each
        branch circuit monitored. The Feeder Modules shall include a
        built-in self-test feature, and metering of the individual feeder fault
        currents. Each Module shall provide indication for 4 individual
        circuits. Each panel shall provide space for up to 8 Feeder

       Modules with provision for external extension panels for a total of
       up to 152 circuits monitored.

  53. The type DSA unit shall incorporate a pulsing control module type
      DS-PM. It shall occupy one feeder module space.

  54. Blanking plates shall be provided for unused feeder Module slots.

  55. The control supply shall be 120V ac 50/60Hz, 50VA.

  56. The Ground Fault panel shall be CSA/UL approved.

  57. The Ground Fault Alarm and Indication unit shall be IPC type
      DSA and Extension panels shall be IPC type DSA-EF or
      equivalent.

F) DSP MKII

       9. A Ground fault detection, protection, location and alarm
          system shall be provided for the high Resistance Grounded
          System. The Ground Fault detection system shall Alarm on
          the first fault occurrence exceeding 50% of the maximum
          Ground current rating of the system.

  58. The Alarm function shall operate on maximum Ground current
      settings from 1A to 17A.

  59. A form C, 10A, 240V AC contact shall be provided for the Alarm
      device. The Alarm contacts shall reset with operation of the Alarm
      Silence push button.

60. Indication of the faulted phase shall be provided by LED indication
    lights, mounted on the fault detection panel. Indication of fault
    shall remain even if the fault has cleared.

61. Total fault magnitude shall be indicated by a bar-graph indicator
    scaled from 0 to 100% in 10 segments representing 10% per step
    (of maximum Ground Current Rating).

62. Faulted branch shall be indicated with Feeder Modules. Each
    Module shall be equipped with a red LED indicator for each
    branch circuit monitored.

63. The Feeder Modules shall include a built-in self-test feature, and
    metering of the individual feeder fault currents. Each Module shall
    provide breaker trip control in the event of an occurrence of a
    second fault. The trip level shall be set at 80A ± 20A.

64. The Relay shall incorporate Selective Instantaneous Feeder Trip
    (SIFT), A priority system allowing only the least important breaker
    to trip, leaving the more important breaker closed. The trip
    contacts for each module shall be Form C rated at 8 A, 240V AC.
    Each panel shall provide for up to 8 Feeder Modules with
    provision for external extension panels. There shall be up to 16
    priority levels built into each Feeder Module.

65. The unit shall incorporate a pulsing module for fault location. It
    shall occupy one feeder module space.

66. Blank plates shall be provided for unused feeder Module slots.

67. The control supply shall be 120V AC 50/60Hz, 50VA.

68. The Ground Fault panel shall be CSA/UL approved.

69. The Ground Fault Protection unit shall be IPC type DSP and
    Extension panels shall be IPC type DSP-EF or equivalent

70. The pulsing module shall be IPC type DS-PM or equivalent.

71. A functional test Module shall reside in the panel to test Modules
    in-circuit. The test unit shall test Alarm, Trip and Priority selectivity
    of the Feeder Modules.

  72. The test unit shall be Federal Pioneer type DSP-TM or equivalent.

G) MGFR-20-ZB

       10. The Ground Fault detection system shall be provided to
           protect against arcing ground faults using ground fault
           protective relays to interrupt the supply. The pickup settings
           and delay settings shall be adjustable and include inverse
           characteristics (I2t =K) and definite time characteristics. The
           relay shall be capable of ZSIP instantaneous trip or Time
           coordinated protection.

  73. Pickup current shall be adjustable from 1A to 20A with the
      following settings, 1.0A, 2.0A, 3.0A, 4.0A, 5.0A, 7.0A, 10.0A,
      20.0A. Selection shall be through an 8 position switch on the front
      panel.

  74. Time Delay setting shall be adjustable from Instantaneous to 5.0s
      with the following settings, Inst., 0.1s, 0.2s, 0.4s, 0.6s, 1.0s, 3.0s,
      5.0s. Selection shall be through an 8 position switch on the front
      panel.

  75. Reset Modes shall be automatic (Self-Reset) or Manual with
      remote operation possible.

  76. The relay shall indicate TRIP with a red LED, and Power ON with
      a Green light. Leakage level and, post-fault Trip level current shall
      be indicated by a LED numeric Display.

  77. Last Trip current level shall be saved in memory for reference.

  78. The relay shall be equipped with Pre-Trip Alarm contacts. These
      contacts shall be Form A, 0.3A, 120V resistive, or greater. This
      contact will be programmable to 16%, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 90% of
      pick-up.

  79. Trip contacts shall be Form C, 10A rated at 120V resistive or
      greater.

  80. Control Power shall be from 120V AC 15W supply.

  81. The relay shall include Self-Testing means.

  82. The relay shall include Self-Testing means with trip inhibit
      features.

  83. The relays shall be interconnected for Zone Selective
      Instantaneous Protection (ZSIP). The system shall be field tested
      after installation to verify and confirm operation of the relays and
      the wiring.

  84. Each feeder circuit protected shall be equipped with one Zero
      Sequence Current Sensor to provide signal to the relay and shall
      be selected according to the size of the conductors involved of
      toroidal or rectangular window geometry.

  85. The Ground Fault relay shall be CSA/UL approved.

  86. The relay shall be IPC Type MGFR-20-ZB or equivalent. The
      Sensors shall be compatible IPC type T or type R. Sensors.

H) MGFR-200-ZB

       11. The Ground Fault detection system shall be provided to
           protect against arcing ground faults using ground fault
           protective relays to interrupt the supply. The pickup settings
           and delay settings shall be adjustable and include inverse
           characteristics (I2t =K) and definite time characteristics. The
           relay shall be capable of ZSIP instantaneous trip or Time
           coordinated protection.

13. Time Delay setting shall be adjustable from Instantaneous to
    5.0 s with the following settings, Inst., 0.1s, 0.2s, 0.3s, 0.4s,
    0.6s, 0.8s, 1.0s. Selection shall be through an 8 position
    switch on the front panel.

14. Reset Modes shall be automatic (Self-Reset) or Manual with
    remote operation possible.

15. The relay shall indicate TRIP with a red LED, and Power ON
    with a Green light. Leakage level and, post-fault Trip level
    current shall be indicated by a LED numeric Display.

16. Last Trip current level shall be saved in memory for reference.

17. The relay shall be equipped with Pre-Trip Alarm contacts.
    These contacts shall be Form A, 0.3A, 120V resistive, or

I) MGFR-1200-ZB

      26. The Ground Fault detection system shall be provided to
          protect against arcing ground faults using ground fault
          protective relays to interrupt the supply. The pickup settings
          and delay settings shall be adjustable and include inverse
          characteristics (I2t =K) and definite time characteristics. The
          relay shall be capable of ZSIP instantaneous trip or Time
          coordinated protection.

      27. Pickup current shall be adjustable from 100A to 1200A with
          the following settings, 100.0A, 200.0A, 300.0A, 400.0A,
          500.0A, 700.0A, 900.0A, 1200.0A. Selection shall be through

           provided to protect against arcing ground faults using ground
           fault protective relays to interrupt the supply. The pickup
           settings and delay settings shall be adjustable and include
           definite time characteristics. The relay shall be capable of
           ZSIP instantaneous trip or Time coordinated protection.

  87. Pickup current shall be adjustable from 100A to 1200A with the
      following settings, 100.0A, 200.0A, 300.0A, 400.0A, 500.0A,
      700.0A, 900.0A, 1200.0A. Selection shall be through an 8 position
      switch on the front panel.

  88. Time Delay setting shall be adjustable from Instantaneous to 5.0 s
      with the following settings, Inst., 0.1s, 0.2s, 0.3s, 0.4s, 0.6s, 0.8s,
      1.0s. Selection shall be through an 8 position switch on the front
      panel.

97. The relays shall be interconnected for Zone Selective
    Instantaneous Protection (ZSIP). The system shall be field tested
    after installation to verify and confirm operation of the relays and
    the wiring.

98. Each feeder circuit protected shall be equipped with one Zero
    Sequence Current Sensor to provide signal to the relay and shall
    be selected according to the size of the conductors involved of
    rectangular window geometry.

99. The Ground Fault relay shall be CSA/UL approved.

100. The relay shall be IPC Type MGFR-SE-ZB or equivalent. The
     Sensors shall be compatible IPC Type RZ.

K) ACCESSORIES

     42. DDR2-ALARM RESISTOR UNIT

           An Alarm Resistor Unit shall be utilized to interface to the
           system.

           The Alarm Resistor unit shall be:


           DDR2-6       For 600 V Systems
           DDR2-4       For 480 V Systems
           DDR2-2       For 240 V Systems
           DDR2-1       For 120 V Systems and for Systems above
                        600 V using Wye-Wye connected potential
                        transformers with ratio of line potential primary
                        and 120 V secondary.



  101. T and R Type Sensors

      Current Sensors when required for the ground fault relay shall be
      1000:1 ratio and be zero-sequence toroidal or Rectangular.
      Current Sensors shall be IPC Resistors type T or R.

102. RZ Type Sensors

         Current Sensors when required for the ground fault relay
         shall be 1000:1 ratio and be zero-sequence Rectangular.
         Current Sensors shall be IPC Resistors type RZ.

         RZ5-11        4.500” x 11.000” (114 x 280)

         RZ5-21        4.500” x 21.000” (114 x 534)

         RZ5-31        4.500” x 31.000” (114 x 788)

         RZ5-35        4.500” x 35.000” (114 x 890)

         RZ10-11       10.500” x 11.000” (267 x 280)

         RZ10-21       10.500” x 21.000” (267 x 534)

         RZ10-31       10.500” x 31.000” (267 x 788)



103. DS-PM

         A Pulsing Card may be inserted into the relay. This pulsing
         card shall be utilized to vary the fault current in order to
         facilitate finding the actual location of the fault.

         The Pulsing Card shall be capable of varying the frequency
         from 30 to 60 pulses/minute which shall be user selectable in
         increments of 10 pulses/minute.



104. Neutral Grounding Resistor

         A neutral grounding resistor shall be used to limit the fault
         current to ______A.

         The neutral grounding resistors shall be electrically insulated
         to the line potential of _________V.

         The neutral grounding resistor shall have a duty of
         [continuous, extended, 60s, 10s]

105. OHMNI

        The Neutral Grounding Resistor Shall be designed with a
        solid state relay to work in conjunction with the pulsing card.

        A neutral grounding resistor shall be used to limit the fault
        current to ______A.

        The neutral grounding resistors shall be electrically insulated
        to the line potential of _________V.

        The neutral grounding resistor shall have a continuous duty.

        The neutral grounding resistor shall be CSA/UL approved.

        The neutral grounding resistor shall be built in accordance to
        IEEE 32.
