Re: Mizzou Campus Tour
I would like to take the JRT Cycle 9 clients on a college campus visit of University of Missouri
Columbia. The purpose of this trip is to expose the clients to university life and encourage them to
pursue higher education. Also, this visit will do well for our clients who have aspirations to attend
college because University of Missouri Columbia is a tangible, attainable goal. I have made
arrangements with the admissions office to tour the campus on December 3, 2007. The visit will
include information on admissions, college life, financial aid, a campus tour, and lunch. For those
who are interested, the clients will also be given the opportunity to fill out admissions forms.
Our visit is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. in Columbia, MO. We will leave the MET center at 8:30 a.m.
We will leave Columbia at 1:45 p.m. to arrive back at the MET center around 4:00 p.m. I will inform
Job Corps of this schedule so that proper arrangements can be made for their students.
Since lunch will not be served until 12:45 p.m., I would like to provide a small continental breakfast
for the students. Something simple such as granola bars, muffins and juice should be sufficient.
Lunch is provided by the university; it is an all-you-can-eat buffet.
We expect 16 clients to attend. I would like Tiffany Bryant, Yolanda Moore, and Kipp Williams to
accompany me to chaperone the clients.
List of clients to attend:
Danielle Lawrence Lamar Adams
Anita Watson Carl Byington
Jessica Lay Lapriesha Moose
Ondia Price Eric James
Donnell Johnson Sade Green
Torrean Williams Tocara Robinson
KaShanna Price Latosha Stuart
Anthony Cooper Arthur McCoy

I am requesting that we rent two vans from Budget Rent A Car for this visit. The vans will
accommodate 19 passengers total which is enough to transport 16 students and 3 chaperones. One is a
full-sized van that accommodates 12 passengers and the other is a mini-van that accommodates 7
The cost of rental for both vans is as follows:
Budget Rent A Car: $203.97 + $55 for insurance. This includes cost of rental, taxes, insurance and
A major credit card is required to hold the reservation. However, a company check will be accepted
as payment when we return the vans.
Another chaperone and I will pick up the vans from Budget Rent A Car airport location at 7:00 a.m.
the morning of December 3.
Again, this visit will be beneficial for all of our Cycle 9 clients as they will be able to see and touch
their dreams of higher education while interacting with the positive role models and environment at
University of Missouri Columbia.
