What If I don t have computer or don’t internet access?

Go to local library to use computer and internet. Ask a comrade in the post who is willing and c p b e o ss s . capable to assist. Ask your children or grandchildren for assistance. Contact the District Chairperson or Commander. Contact the Department Chairperson. Choose the best option (from above list) that will enable you to be successful.

Are The Three Programs Mandatory for All-State? AllPosts must participate in all 3 programs to receive credit towards all-state status. Posts could choose to donate to all three programs to receive credit (refer to division donation level requirements in this years program book)

Division Donation Level Breakdown
Division 1 = a minimum of $150.00 Division 2 = a minimum of $125.00 $ Division 3 = a minimum of $100.00 Division 4 = a minimum of $75.00 $75 00 Division 5 = a minimum of $50.00 Division 6 = a minimum of $25.00 $25 00

Post Chairperson Expectations
Promote the programs in your local public, private and parochial schools Seek S k out and i f d inform home schooled h h l d students. Promote the programs in local church youth groups. Promote programs with friends, relatives friends and local neighborhood who have eligible youth.

Post Chairperson Expectations (p-2) (pStart early like spring of the prior year or at least August of the new school year- to enable schools to plan to incorporate our programs. Call schools and set up appointments with school counselors and/or principals. Contact Churches and set up appointments with h h d i ih their church education directors or clergy Wisconsin Home School association has been sent the student entry forms/rules for VOD & Patriots' Pen programs.

Post Chairperson Expectations (p-3) (pPlan to recognize and award all students who participate. Make it a special event ! Ensure student and teacher entry forms for program are due in by midnight Nov. 1, 2009. Ensure post judging is completed before Nov. 15, 2009. District Chairperson Expectations
You are the link between the Posts in your district and the state. Identify each of your Posts Patriot’s Pen d if h f i Chairpersons. (or Post Commander) Provide them with the information and tools necessary for them to be successful. Stay in continuous contact with them throughout y g the year promoting posts participation in the programs and assisting then as needed.

District Chairperson Expectations (p-2) (pProvide Post Chairpersons with the date you expect them to turn in their winning entries and participation reports to you. you Ensure winning post entries and participation reports are received by your expected due date Ensure district judging is completed in time to meet state reporting requirements. Plan to recognize and award all students who participate. Make it a special event !

District Chairperson Reporting Expectations
Send in District winner and District participation results on time. State Chairperson will provide District Chair with the required department reporting tools and District reporting dates on or before Nov. 1, 2009 District chair should provide a summary report of i i h i h ld id f the district results to the Posts and Auxiliaries in their districts. Summary report should include list of top 3 winners at district and district participation information that was sent to department. department

What are the program deadlines?
Midnight Nov. 1, 2009 entries for all three programs are due at the post level District due dates for post entries and reports TBD and communicated to posts by District Chairs. District winning entries, with picture, to i i i i i ih i department chairperson by midnight December 15, 2009 , District Participation results report to District Chair by midnight January 15, 2010.
