        FOR POLLUTION PREVENTION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL
                     HEALTH PROTECTION
              CONSTRUCTION OF SUF TRUNK SEWER

This addendum forms a part, and modifies the original Contract Documents for Contract No.
: Central 129/2009, Construction of Suf Trunk Sewer. Please acknowledge receipt of
Addendum Number 3 by fax or email as soon as you receive this addendum. It is also
required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in the space provided in item 12 of the
Tender Form on page 00370-2 of Volume 1 of the Contract Documents in your bid
submission.

A: Amendments to Contract Documents

    1. Prequalification
       Please note that prequalification procedure has been deleted. Accordingly the
       Invitation to Submit Proposals (RFP) is hereby deleted and substituted with the
       attached Invitation to Submit Tender


    2. Eligible Tenderers
  Local Jordanian contractors who purchased the documents on time as indicated in
      the Invitation to Submit Tender, and who are listed by the Jordanian Ministry of
 Public Works and Housing/GTD at the time of execution in the classification Grade 1
   in the field of Water and Wastewater are eligible to submit Tender for this project


    3. Submission Date
       The last date for submitting Tender has been revised to 12:00 noon, Jordan
       local time Sunday 6 December, 2009.

                                                                 INVITATION TO TENDER
 The Employer, the Water Authority of Jordan, invites prequalified Contractors to submit Tenders for
                                                      this Project that includes the following works:

                 The Suf Trunk Sewer Project consists of the supply, delivery, construction, clean up and
           reinstatement of a new Trunk Sewer extending from the MH JS 126 existing manhole located
         adjacent to Wadi Suf to the existing Suf Sewer located adjacent to Qirawan spring in Jeraseh as
                          shown on the Drawings with specific components of the project consisting of:


    1-    231 meters of concrete pipe sewers for branch connections to Suf Trunk Sewer
    2-    1,359 meters of 300 mm High Density Polyethylene Profile Wall Gravity Pipe
    3-    3,968 meters of 400 mm High Density Polyethylene Profile Wall Gravity Pipe
    4-    2,931 meters of 500 mm High Density Polyethylene Profile Wall Gravity Pipe
    5-    116 Type A manholes and 161 Type B wadi manholes.
    6-    14,335 m2 rock fill mattress for sewers in wadi area
    7-    Other sewer miscellaneous works including, concrete encasement, demolition and
          decommissioning abandoned existing manholes
       Tender Documents can be purchased at the address noted below starting from Monday, 28
 September, 2009 at 0900 hours, Jordan local time. for the non-refundable price of JOD 200 per set.
 The Employer will not be responsible for lost and/or undelivered documents sent by mail, FedEx or

  The last day for purchasing Tender Documents by eligible contractors is Monday, 5 October, 2009.



 Tenders must be submitted, in accordance with the contract documents, before 12:00 noon, Jordan
     local time Sunday, 6 December, 2009 to the Ministry of Public Works & Housing, at the address
      listed above. They will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. the same day. Tenderers can attend the
    opening session or observe it through direct transmission on the GTD website. (www.gtd.gov.jo)

           A Pre-bid Conference will be held in Jerash and Amman on Tuesday, 13 October, 2009 The
  conference will start with a visit to the work site and be followed by a question and answer session.
      Attendance at the Pre-bid Conference is optional, but all eligible contractors for this project are
strongly encouraged to attend. Questions raised and answered during the Pre-bid Conference will be
       included in the minutes of the meeting and distributed to the Tenderers. Any thing said in this
     conference will not be binding to the employer unless issued as a formal addenda to this tender.


            The visitors will assemble at the WAJ office for transportation to the site. Each Tenderer is
                                                    responsible for the Tenderer’s own transportation.


            Any questions regarding the Tender Documents shall be sent to the Government Tenders
Directorate at the above-listed address. A copy of all questions must be received in writing by WAJ at

All questions must be submitted in writing. No questions presented through any other means will be
     responded to. All questions will be responded to, in writing and such responses will be sent to all
       Tenderers. All questions must be submitted and received not later than Thursday, 22 October,
                                             2009. No questions will be responded to after that date.



  Any Contract awarded under this Invitation to Tenderers is expected to be funded by a grant from
  USAID to the Government of Jordan, subject to availability of funds. Neither the United States nor
 any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Invitation for Tenders or
       any resulting Contract. However, USAID has certain approval rights, including approval of the
Contractor selected and the Contract. The Contractor will be required to enter into agreements with
 and make certifications to USAID in connection with the issuance of financing documents by USAID

  and the submission by the Contractor of invoices for payment. This procurement will be subject to
                                             regulations contained in applicable USAID Handbooks.


Before a Contract will be awarded, compliance with all USAID requirements specified in the Contract
                                          Documents will be subject to USAID review and approval.
