                        Committee Meeting Minutes
                                  April 2, 2012

Opening: The regular meeting of Cub Scout Pack 854 was called to order at
6:30 p.m. on April 2, 2012 by Rob Wuebbeling

Attendance: Sean Kelly, David Sikes, Bill Bausch, Rob Wuebbeling, Seth
Peimann, Kevin Dills, Jeff Wilmes, Mike See, Abby Oswald, LaDeana Vaughn,
Richard Martin, Diane Frederick

Reading of Minutes: Minutes read and accepted.

Cubmaster’s Report:

Seth Peimann to be new Pack Chairman! Thanks Seth!

Bruce Woodmansee to be new Pack Quartermaster! Thanks Bruce!

Troop 854: We are requesting for the new troop to be named Troop 323 not
Troop 854 in honor of American Legion Post 323 who is sponsoring.

We will go in front of the American Legion Board for a formal request to charter
the new troop on Nov. 5th during our next committee meeting. Please wear your
class “A” Uniform.

Old Business:

Fall Recruitment Night went well the pack added 12 new members and picked up
several new scouts a few days after.

New Business:

Pack 854 Family Fall Campout is this weekend, Oct. 3rd & 4th at Logan
Conservation Area, North of Troy Lake 1. Be there at 9:00 a.m. Saturday to set
up tents. Bring your own lunch. Dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday will be
provided by the pack. Contact Mike See with questions 636-699-6316

A motion was made by Rob and passed by the committee for the den leaders to
make a calendar for the year to plan month by month and bring them to the next
committee meeting. These may be put on the pack website.

Pack 854 Hayride: October 20th at Eagle Fork from 6-8 p.m. The cost is $3.00
each. There is also a 10 acre corn maze. 636-366-9825
Hwy 61 Five miles north of Hwy 70 on the left John Creech road just past Indian
100-year Award: This year is scouting’s 100th year. BSA has a special award
for the occasion for more info.

Popcorn Sales: It’s almost popcorn time! Popcorn sales are our biggest
Kernel Popcorn is very excited and is throwing a Kick off Party with a sales blitz
to follow on November 1st the official start day of the campaign!
Location to be determined… more info will be given at the pack meeting.

Scouts who fill an order form will earn a marshmallow shooter gun!

There will be online sales this year.

The Pack goal this year is to sell $ 5000.00

Personal accounts will continue this year.
After the pack sells $2500.00, the profits will be split 70% to the pack and 30% to
each scouts personal account according to their sales. After the pack sells
$3500.00, the profits will be split 60% to the pack and 40 % to personal accounts.
After the pack reaches its goal and sells $5000.00, the profits will be split 50% to
the pack and 50% to the scouts’ personal accounts.

Remember personal account money can be used for anything related to
scouting, uniforms, supplies, camps, etc…

Next pack meeting there will be a Bobcat ceremony.

Round Table:

October 3rd from 9 a.m.-noon Tiger Days at Broemmelsiek Park for new scouts
and Tiger scouts.

October 16-18 Webelos Fall Encampment at Daniel Boone Home: contact
David Sikes if you haven’t already signed up.

Powwow is November 7th at Seckman High School

Next Round table is Tuesday October 6th

Pack meeting: October 27th at 6:30 p.m. hosted by Bear den 5

Next committee meeting: November 5th at 6:30 p.m.
