Mark (1..∞) Description of the physical markings on the embedded item as well as how the
Unique Item Identifier (UII) is associated with the item.
- Must have at least one occurrence for the UII:
a) If the UII is marked physically, may have one or more Mark Loops whose
Contents is 'UID' but none may have a Medium Code of 'DEFINED'.
b) If the Contents is 'UID' and the Medium Code is 'DEFINED', can have only one
Mark Loop whose Contents is 'UID'.
c) If the UII's Medium Code is 'DEFINED', must have at least one other physical
mark recorded whose Contents is not 'UID'.
- May have other Mark Loop occurrences to report additional physical markings as
desired or required.
NOTE: The Item is not compliant with UID policy until the UII is marked with a 2D
Data Matrix in accordance with the DoD policy and ISO/IEC 15434.

CategoryCode (0..1) Text 1 Used when recording change in custody of GFP. Must be one of the following codes:
"E" - Equipment: A tangible article of personal property that is complete in-and-of itself,

generally has an expected service life of one year or more, and does not ordinarily lose its
identity or become a component part of another article when put into use.
"M" - Material: Property that may be consumed or expended during the performance of a

ContractLineItem (0..1) Text 6 The contract line item the non-UIIed item action is associated with.
Condition (0..2) Use to record details about an item's physical condition, readiness for issue and
use, and actions underway to change an item's status. A combination of a disposal
condition code and a supply condition code will constitute the Federal condition
codes for utilization program screening and review purposes. If two iterations are
provided, one must have <ConditionCodeType> = "SUPPLY" and the other must
have <ConditionCodeType> = "DISPOSAL".
ConditionCodeType (1) Text 10 Denotes whether the condition code is a Supply or Disposal Condition Code as defined in
DoD 4000.25-2-M.

Term Element Source
Abandoned Property surrendered by a Federal agency after a written determination that the property
has no commercial value, or the estimated cost of its continued care and handling would
exceed the extimated proceeds from its sale. An item has not commercial value when it
has neither utility or monetary value (either as useable property or as scrap).
Consumed Non-reversibly incorporated into another item
Destroyed - Accident Destroyed during a fire, natural disaster, or other unplanned natural or man-made incident.
Destroyed - Combat Destroyed by the enemy during combat
Donated Surplus property provided to a Service Educational Activity; a State, political subdivision,
municipality, or tax-supported institution acting on behalf of a public airport; a public
agency; a public body; a charitable institution; or any State or local government agency,
and cenrtain nonprofit organizations or institutions.
Exchanged - Sold Provided to a supplier for credit.
Exchanged - Repair Provided to a supplier for an equivalent replacment part.
Exchanged - Warranty Provided to a supplier for an equivalent replacment part or credit while under warranty.
Expended - Normal use Such as in the firing of a missile during combat or consumed during a manufacturing
process.
Expended - Experimental/Target Such as the firing of a missile during training exercises and for testing; items destroyed
while serving as a target during training exercises and tests.
Leased Property that is granted to a lessee for a period of time in exchange for rent or other
consideration.
Loaned owned by a DoD Component and loaned to contractors, scientific institutions or other
organizations.
Lost Property that cannot be located or otherwise accounted for.
Reintroduced When an item is returned to DoD service.
Retired Withdrawn from normal service; taken out of use. Includes
decomissioned, stricken, sunken, transferred to AMARC/DRMS, etc.; excludes
temporary idling of the item.
Scrapped Waste material that will be reused or reprocessed.
