					TOMBSTONE CITY
It all started with Ed Schieffelin. He was working on the hills southeast in
Arizona. He came across some very rich silver! When Schieffelin filled his
mining claim, he wrote “tombstone”. And that’s why the city was named
Tombstone.

Tombstone town was founded in 1879, and the town was growing quickly
because of mine wealth. In the beginning of 1881 tombstone had a population
of 1000. and within another year Tombstone had a population between 5,000
and 15,000 (more than san Francisco at that time).
