Save
Our
Shelter
In
2011,
Palo
Alto
Animal
Services
found
homes
for
more
than
500
animals,
spayed
or
neutered
2,376
animals,
vaccinated
4,400
animals
and
responded
to
4,300
calls
for
service.
PAAS
currently
services
the
cities
of
Palo
Alto,
Mountain
View,
Los
Altos
and
Los
Altos
Hills.
Later
this
year,
the
city
of
Mountain
View
will
end
its
contract
with
PAAS,
resulting
in
a
$450,000
loss
of
revenue.
PAAS
is
a
vital
local
resource,
and
we
urge
the
City
Council
to
explore
alternatives
to
closing
the
shelter.
