Inside Sales Manager
Reporting the VP Sales & Marketing, the Inside Sales Manager is responsible for managing
all aspects of the inside sales department and lead generation process. Major duties
include: providing management communications to the Sales department; training &
coaching Account Executives; monitoring & reporting on sales metrics; and managing the
sales administration process.
Build a solid inside sales/lead generation team that exceeds sales goals.
Ensure that sales pipeline remains full with qualified leads & prospects.
Monitor employee productivity and motivate team to reach daily dial goals.
Coordinate department activities and projects to meet project timelines.
Evaluate and improve inside sales and sales administration processes.
Supervise team in accordance with company policies & procedures.
Provide coaching for existing Account Executives, and training for new reps.
Work with Human Resources to determine appropriate staffing levels.
Conduct employee interviews, orientations, and hire/fire staff.
Manage performance & salary reviews, and develop employee develop plans.
Resolve interpersonal issues within department and escalate if required.
Schedule and lead department staff meetings, workshops, and functions.
Report to senior management on sales metrics, opportunities, and threats.
Suggest improvements that can be made to increase value of collateral.
Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in customer relationship
management (CRM) system. Provide data quality checks weekly.
Attend industry conferences to network and develop industry expertise.
University degree or college diploma in business or a related field
2 years work experience in business-to-business (B2B) environment
Familiarity with sales process and SPIN Selling methodology
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience reporting to a senior management team
Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
Strong work ethic – leading sales team by example (minimal missed days)
Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Highly proficient computer skills including email, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
