Indo-Global Social Service Society is the most powerful non-profit organization, achieve the leadership as a
working NGO for the equality in our society. Women and girls in India like as in other nation constitute the most
marginalized and dis empowered section of society and face repeated violations of their basic human rights. But
women is the main section or base our home and society.
Gender equality and women’s empowerment are two sides of the same coin. Both have multiple dimensions that
together yield a wide variety of indicators. Gender equality India assesses the extent to which the country has
installed institutions and programs to enforce laws and policies that promote equal access for men and women in
education, health, the economy, and protection under law.
Gender inequality in India damages the physical and mental health of millions of girls and women across the
globe, and also of boys and men despite the many touchable benefits it gives men through resources, power,
authority and control.
Currently IGSSS has presence in 17 states of India and works on the theme of “Empowerment” with thematic
focus on Promoting Sustainable Livelihood, Gender Inequality in India, Disaster Relief India, Gender Equality
Rights in India. IGSSS have placed gender equality on the political agenda, challenging the factors that
contribute to and maintain the divisions in our societies between the public and private sphere, between paid and
unpaid work and care, between equality and inequality.
IGSSS, introduced itself as a leading Gender Equality NGO in India . IGSSS is a non-profit NGO created in
1960, IGSSS works for capacity building and enlightenment of the vulnerable communities across the country
through rights-based framework for their effective participation in development. Through its endeavor, IGSSS
want to ensure social, economic, political empowerment of poor and marginalized communities so that they can
have access to sustainable livelihood with Dignity.
For effective operation of pro grammes IGSSS has established the Head Office at New Delhi and operating from
3 zonal offices – Zonal Office East (Kolkata), Zonal Office West (Baroda) and Zonal Office Northeast (Assam)
and within the purview of these administrative units, 8 project offices are functioning. We have a dedicated staff
and have grown immensely since our inception. At present IGSSS has lots of permanent staff members and part-
