NATURE OF WORK AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

1.   Teaching Clinical Nutrition to Medical Students and Allied Medical
     Sciences and Post-graduates in Clinical Nutrition.
2.   Initiated and developed MSc Program Curriculum in Clinical Nutrition in the College
     of Applied Medical Sciences – King Saud University-KSA

3.   Teaching Clinical Nutrition in different medical and relevant institutions in Riyadh.

4.   Training of paramedical personnel in field of nutrition, i.e. Health Visitors,
     Trainers of Trainee of Primary Health Care Workers, etc.

5.   Evaluate the nutritional status of different groups of population using
     different parameters, e.g. an anthropometric measurements, dietary
     and socioeconomic surveys and bio-chemical investigations.

6.   Carry out research on body fluids of malnourished children
     to investigate the effect of different types of malnutrition
     on the constituents of these fluids and try to establish
     pre-clinical indices for early detection of malnutrition
     before it develops to state of clinical manifestation.

7.   Investigation of causative factors of endemic goitre in the
     Kingdom of Saudi Arabia beside iodine deficiency.

8.   Supervisor for M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in Clinical Nutrition.
