Establishment of IPUDC
      First meeting took place on June 14, 2005
      Initial tasks will be focused on issues related to the dissemination
       and exchange of the databases, plus the exploitation of the
       reference systems (open source licences)
 Creation of a forum of end-user and associations
      First meeting of the industrial committee in November 05
      Creation of a biometric research repository database
           • Exhaustive, up-to-date overview of all biometric organization and
             networks, institutions and companies, and research projects, which
             have been carried out globally.

             First Residential Workshop : Goals

 Provide a framework for partners of the Network (PhDs and
  senior researchers) to meet and work together, in
  collaboration with invited international experts
 Provide an internal evaluation platform
      Evaluation of new algorithms with common databases and related
       assessment protocols, with respect to the open-sources reference
       systems
 Prepare Large-Scale International Evaluations, in particular
  multimodal ones that should take place in 2007
 Contribute to the launching of new collaborative research
