     Mechanical Breakdown Insurance
     Policy Summary
     Some important facts about the Mechanical Breakdown insurance are summarised below. This summary
     does not describe all the terms and conditions of the policy, so please take time to read the policy
     document to make sure you understand the cover it provides.
     Please refer to the policy schedule, which is given to you when the policy is issued, which will detail the
     plan type, claim limit, period of cover and any additional options you have selected.
     Insurer
     The insurance is provided by AmTrust International Underwriters Limited, 40 Westland Row, Dublin 2. Who
     are authorised and regulated by the Irish Financial Regulator under registration number 169384 and is
     administered by Warranty Management Services.
     Policy Duration
     Your cover is valid for 3, 6, 12, 24 or 36 months, depending on which of these options your vehicle is
     eligible for and which one you choose.
     Claim Limit Options
     The following claim options are available under your chosen policy -
     KNIGHT (£125 - £250), BARON (£125 - £350), VISCOUNT (£250 - £1,000), SOVEREIGN (£500 - £2,000),
     SOVEREIGN PLUS (£500 - £2,000). Depending on the option selected will limit the amount payable on
     each and every claim up to an aggregate of the vehicle purchase price.
     About your Component Cover
     KNIGHT - Cover includes items under the following headings: Engine, Gearbox and Swinging Arm Unit.
     Please see page 12 of the Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Policy for full details. For policies longer than
     3 months in duration you have the added benefit of MOT cover.
     BARON - Engine, Gearbox, Cooling System, Swinging Arm Unit, Clutch, Electrical and Casings. Please see
     pages 13 of the Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Policy for full details.
     For policies longer than 3 months in duration you have the added benefit of MOT cover.
     VISCOUNT - Engine, Gearbox, Cooling System, Swinging Arm Unit, Clutch, Electrical, Shaft Drive Unit,
     Suspension, Front Telescopic Forks, Brakes, Frame / Exhaust System, Oil Leaks and Casings. Please see
     pages14 of the Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Policy for full details. For policies longer than 3 months
     in duration you have the added benefit of MOT cover.
     SOVEREIGN - All Mechanical and Electrical factory fitted components with the exception of bodywork,
     Glass, Corrosion, Saddles and Panniers, Wear and Tear items, Service items, Batteries, Stereo units and
     Communication systems or any Parts / Accessories not approved by the manufacturer. Please see pages 15
     of the Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Policy for full details. For policies longer than 3 months in
     duration you have the added benefit of MOT cover.
     SOVEREIGN Plus - All Mechanical and Electrical factory fitted components with the exception of
     Bodywork, Glass, Wear and Tear items, Service items, Stereo units and Communication systems or any
     Parts / Accessories not approved by the manufacturer. Please see pages 16 of the Mechanical Breakdown
     Insurance Policy for full details. For policies longer than 3 months in duration you have the added benefit
     of MOT cover.

     Significant Exclusions
     • Items not listed as covered are specifically excluded.
     • The policy does not cover wear and tear, inherent faults, faulty workmanship, cracked blocks, cracked
     cylinder heads, burnt valves, oil and fluid leaks, accidental damage to radiator.
     • Consequential loss ( i.e. damage caused by items not covered under the policy).
     • Failure to observe the following will invalidate your claim:
     a) Frost Protection b) Correct claims procedure c) Servicing.
     • This policy does not cover damage caused by negligence, i.e. insufficient oil or water, overheating, or
     failure to ensure that minimum damage is incurred by taking preventative measures.
     • Any vehicle modified from the manufacturers’
     standard specification including a change in the fuel system to use an alternative fuel.
     • Vehicles used for hire and reward or used for racing or competition.
     • Timing belts unless manufacturer’s replacement recommendations have been complied with.
     Service Requirements
     The vehicle must be serviced by a V.A.T. registered garage in accordance with the manufacturer’s
     recommended service schedule.
     Your Right of Cancellation
     You have a statutory right to cancel Your Policy within 14 days starting on the later of the date you enter
     into the contract, or, if different the date You receive the Policy documentation. To cancel please write to
     the Administrator or call 0844 477 4909.
     On receipt of Your notice of cancellation, The Administrator will refund any premiums You have already
     paid, unless You have already made a claim under Your Policy. If after this period has elapsed and You wish
     to terminate cover You will not be entitled to any refund of premium.
     Making a claim
     If you have a claim, please ring the administrators of the policy as soon as possible to tell them about it.

     What to do if you are not satisfied
     We do everything we can to make sure that our customers get the high standard of service they expect. If
     you feel you have any cause for complaint regarding the information and advice about your policy, you
     should contact the administrators of the policy. You can contact them by writing to:

              Terms and Conditions
