Cell Phone Stipends
In recognition of the labor intensive nature of processing district reimbursements
for the personal calls made on district owned phones, and the critical need for
cell phone communications between administrators, the college will be
implementing a system of cell phone stipends, effective February 1, 2005.
Under this system employees will obtain their own cell phones and the college
will provide them with a monthly cell phone allowance of $35.00. Eligible
employees are Executive Committee members and Deans or Directors, who
have been designated by their Vice President. Employees receiving a cell phone
stipend must inform their Vice President of their cell phone number and any
changes that occur. The attached form should be used to apply for a cell phone
stipend.
The cost of the cell phone stipends will be charged to the departmental budget,
where the stipend recipient’s salary is budgeted. The payment of the cell phone
stipend will be included in monthly payroll warrants.
