Purpose: To write and name ionic compounds


Activity:


    1. Your group will need to obtain one anion and one cation dice from the containers.

    2. Your group will roll the dice and using the ions that appear on the top face write the correct

        formula and name for the compound in the template provided.

    3. Your group will use the dice to write 25 different compound formulas and names. You must have

        25 different compounds! If needed, you may obtain new cation and anion dice.

    4. Your group needs to turn in your answer template when completed.

    5. Your group needs to develop a review game using the ions or names and formulas of ionic

        compounds. Use the poster board, construction paper, scissors, and markers provided to make

        your game. Be prepared to present your game to your classmates at the beginning of class

        tomorrow.
