Organelle Cards
Instructions for use:
Make enough photocopies of each of the following pages for a class set.
The first page will be used to make the cards and the second page will stay as is.
You may choose to laminate these pages and cards if you have the resources/time.
Have students cut out each of the organelle cards and function cards on the next
page. When one page is cut into cards, place all the cards into one envelope.
Repeat cutting cards and putting into envelopes.
As a review activity, have students take the cards out of an envelope and organize
them on the organelle/function graphic organizer.
Hints:
Use a different color paper for the cards than for the graphic organizer.
Recruit students in a study hall or detention to do the cutting work for this activity;
don’t waste class time.
Put the organizers and envelopes on the desks before class so students can begin as
soon as class starts.
Alternately, you can erase all the function descriptions in this file, print out the
organizer only, and use as a note-taking sheet.
