(DCAR) is a nonprofit trade association consisting of almost 1,200 professional REALTORS®. DCAR offers programs that promote professionalism, enhance agents' ability to be successful, reduce their risk, and generally promote the industry's public image. Members, and the public, are serviced with education courses, legal updates and legislative matters on a national, state, and local level. As a member of one of the largest REALTOR® Associations in the State of New York, REALTORS® are entitled to numerous benefits and services, including: Education: DCAR offers a broad array of professional development opportunities, which covers a wide range of topics, through courses, seminars and informational sessions that are accessible, affordable and frequent. Legislative Affairs/RPAC: Involved in REALTOR® issues throughout the county, RPAC helps to increase the REALTORS® position with politicians favorable to the real estate industry. MEMBER SERVICES: Member Services Representatives: We answer your billing, member benefit, and continuing education questions quickly, or we will refer you to someone who can. Professional Standards and Mediation: DCAR continues to raise the standards for the real estate industry enforcing the Code of Ethics and the arbitration of business disputes arising out of the real estate business. Professional Standards ensures due process in the conduct of hearings both for the REALTOR® and the public. Legal Hotline: Members can get free, authoritative, personalized legal advice from New York State Association of REALTORS® Monday through Thursday from 9:00am 1:00pm. Call (518) 436-9727. Health Coverage: Members get discounted group rates for medical, dental, disability, and/or life insurance.
