PLAY AWARD Recognises a significant contribution to the development of children’s play

Intensive Supported Playschemes West Coast in recognition of a significant contribution to the
safety, confidence, health and well-being of marginalised children and families, through the medium of
play.

SPECIAL CHILDREN’S WEEK AWARD recognises a young person who shows courage, strength,
perseverance and a cheerful attitude in the face of adversity.

Eloise Dibden in recognition of her acceptance of her disability, her generosity toward others, the inner
strength which assists her in overcoming adversity and her participation, wherever possible, in school
activities.

CHILD & YOUTH AWARD Given for outstanding and consistent contributions to the needs, interests
and welfare of children.

Tahlia Kalleski in celebration of her recognition of the value of the Orangutans of Borneo and
Sumatra, her perseverance in sharing information with fellow students and the positive action she and
friends have taken toward saving the great apes.

CHILDREN’S WEEK AWARDS
Given for outstanding and consistent contributions to the needs, interests and welfare of children.

The Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers’ Market Kids’ Club in recognition of sharing with many
children, the joy of growing and eating healthy food and the fun in physical activity.

Australian Council on Children and the Media
for “Know Before You Go Movie Reviews” project for a significant contribution to the development
and well–being of children, through provision of easily accessible, child centred reviews of current films.

Elizabeth Mitchell in recognition of an exemplary contribution to early childhood education
through her work with children, parents, students, colleagues, professional organisations and the
community.

Pana Tselekidis in recognition of a remarkable contribution to children and the community through
leadership of the Brompton Out-of-School Hours Care programme for more than 30 years.


Special Commendation
Iona Angley was specially commended for her voluntary contribution to families, children and the
community through the Centacare Family Zone Hub at Ingle Farm.
