CASE STUDY – MASLOW’S
PYRAMID OF NEEDS
Greg left school at 16 and started full time work at the local
supermarket as a shelf filler. When he was 17 years old, Greg’s
parents divorced and he left home because he felt nobody wanted
him. As he had nowhere to live, he started to sleep on a bench in a
park and soon lost his job at the supermarket.
Aged 18, Greg was given his own room in a hostel. The staff were
very supportive and he made some good friends. He was able to find
work filling boxes in a local packing factory. Shortly after starting
work he met Debbie.
Greg is now 28. He is the supervisor of the packing factory, and a
