Rancho Los Baños Guest Ranch
Basic Information:
Rancho Los Baños is a 30,000 acre adventure guest ranch and
nature travel destination, a genuine Mexican working cattle ranch
located a mere 50 miles due south from the southeast Arizona town
of Douglas.

While we are located in safe, secure northeast Sonora, Mexico, we
are so close to Arizona that we would like you to consider our ranch
for a possible stay. We feel we are better than any guest/working
ranch in Arizona, and more scenic and spectacular as well. Our
offices are based in Tucson. Through our shuttle service, we
personally escort and drive you from Tucson to the ranch and back,
leaving the driving to us and the sightseeing to you.

We are not your typical guest or Dude ranch, but rather a new
generation guest ranch catering to new generation adventure
travelers. We specialize in outdoors adventures of many varieties,
and are known best for our backcountry horseback riding, and our
wilderness and box canyon hikes, walks and treks. Both adventures
are world-class, first-rate activities quickly gaining worldwide
recognition for the sheer beauty, vastness, uniqueness and unspoiled
nature they offer.

We are a unique, original and exclusive guest ranch, unlike
anything else around, combining the best of adventure, outdoors and
nature travel ideas with the most modern guest ranch thinking.
Combining sustainability and environmental protection, our
adventures are thrilling, challenging and educational, fun-filled and
environmentally-friendly.

Offering stunning landscapes, scenery and wilderness, with
spectacular adventures such as hikes through amazing boxed
canyons in our Canyonlands, multi-night treks through river and
canyons, canyoneering through boxed and slot canyons, climbing
and bouldering, geocaching, backcountry horseback riding through
some of the most scenic, otherworldly, exotic and unspoiled land
you will ever see, excellent birding and wildlife spotting, kayaking
on the Bavispe River and Lake Angostura (not one boat, jetski or
person on it), Dark Skies for clear stargazing, incredible geological
rock formations/canyons, 2,000 year old petroglyph/pictograph
sites, diverse plant, animal and insect life, 4x4 jeeping and ecotours

                                                 - 11 -
                                                             United States - Arizona
through 80 miles of wild off road style dirt roads, mountain biking,
and, of course, amazing rest and relaxation in complete peace,
serenity, remoteness and tranquility.

The ranch is remote and secluded, thus having habitats that are
pristine and unspoiled, as well as flora and fauna that have been
protected for decades. Once here, you will not see a sign of
civilization for miles. This land is a wilderness area that, were it
located in the United States, would possibly be considered a
national park, with comparisons to Zion, Moab, Bryce Canyon, Big
Bend and Kenya/Tanzania having been made by past guests,
including opinions that the land resembles a mini Copper Canyon,
though with its own unique feel/energy and otherworldly
landscapes.

Combined with the majestic El Cajon Canyon, Cajon de la
Catedral, Cajon de las Pierdras, Cajon Aguaje, El Pinito foothills
and El Alamo/El Palmarito river bed system, Lake Angostura (20
miles long and completely isolated) and the spectacular Bavispe
River (which unwinds dozens of miles through amazing canyon
scenery), to name but a few locations, this region of northeast
Sonora is poised to become a true outdoors, adventure, and nature
travel destination.

With so many diverse habitats, encompassing lake, river,
mountain, canyon and riparian ecosystems, avid nature lovers are
sure to enjoy their stay. Devoid of human activity, lights, noise,
smells and of modern civilization itself, you will feel relaxed and
reinvigorated as you see and feel yourself surrounded only by
wilderness.

Combined with great B&B-style accommodations and service,
Mexican hospitality and food that is second to none, close proximity
to the United States, staying in pristine and isolated land, and a
natural scenery that is spectacular to see, Rancho Los Baños,
through our tourism branch, Tierra Chamahua EcoAdventures, is
sure to make your stay an exciting, fun-filled, relaxing and
memorable one.

for all riders. We even have some gaited ones for a really smooth
ride! We offer a variety of rides, including slow walking,
intermediate trotting and fast, loping rides. We also offer
challenging mountain rides(seasonal). Take our popular “Saguaro
Cactus” ride where the views are spectacular at the top. Be sure to
bring your camera! Or choose our ½ day rides into the Mohave
Mountains (October 15-May 1 only) where you will enjoy
breathtaking views, authentic Indian petroglyphs and a 60 ft saguaro
(Must stay for 4 nights or more to go on these types of rides). Our
outdoor swimming pool (heated seasonally) is always a favorite,
especially during the hotter summer months. Our hot tub is enjoyed
all year long by everyone, especially those wanting to “ease their
saddle sores”. Located just 45 minutes from the ranch is Lake
Havasu City, where guests can enjoy the Historic London Bridge as
well as numerous water sport activities, including jet skis,
powerboats, pontoon boats, canoes and kayaks. The famous Grand
Canyon is a favorite place for our guests to visit. The west rim
(which boasts the widest point of the canyon) is only 2 ½ hours
away and the more popular south rim is 3 ½ hours from the ranch.
At the west rim, whitewater rafting and spectacular scenic floats can
be arranged on the Colorado River as well as helicopter rides into
the canyon. The Hualapai Mountains are only an hour’s drive where
you can enjoy beautiful pine trees and elk roaming the mountains.
(A big change from the desert scenery at the ranch!) There is
something for everyone here, whether it is on or off the ranch. You
can relax, read a book, or enjoy the many activities offered at
Stagecoach Trails. Do a lot, do nothing. We leave that up to you,
because after all this is your vacation. In the hotter summer months,
our riding times are altered to avoid the heat of the day. We do not
offer 1/2 day or all day rides during the summer.

Accomodations: Stagecoach Trails was built in 2000 with spacious, tastefully decorated
accommodations. We have carefully designed the ranch so that the “old west blends with the new”
for a wonderfully unique western experience. Since the ranch is barrier free, all of the public rooms,
guest rooms and bathrooms are accessible. (If you don’t need the accessible features, you just get
nice big guest rooms and bathrooms!). The western style Frontier Lodge is our gathering place and
consists of a huge stone fireplace, comfortable couches, saloon bar (BYOB), Bison room with
satellite TV where you can watch movies or your favorite shows, billiards table and a game table.
We have a spacious courtyard area that is perfect for sunset viewing, star gazing at night, enjoying
our cowboy singers or just relaxing by the fire.
Our family homes, which have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room with a fireplace,
can accommodate groups or families of four to eight. Our guest rooms have either one queen bed,
one queen bed with a full-size sleeper futon or two double beds. (We also provide rollaway beds
when needed.) All rooms have private baths with large verandas that are perfect for enjoying the
sunsets, mountains and stars or visiting with new friends. The rooms are large, tastefully decorated
either western or southwestern and comfortable. Each morning you will awake to the smell of
wonderful home-cooked food and a dinner bell to tell you it’s time to eat.
Dining: Many friendships have begun around the tables in the Hualapai Dining Room at Stagecoach
Trails. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere and incredible mountain views create a feeling of family,
laughter and good conversation. It feels like you are at home, without any of the work! Every meal
is anticipated by our guests and served with a smile. Three delicious meals are prepared every day at
Stagecoach Trails along with complimentary coffee, tea and other refreshing beverages. Everything
is served buffet style so you can eat as little or as much as you want! All of our food is homemade
and our desserts are already becoming legendary, so save room for them! You will never be hungry
at Stagecoach Trails! Although we have a saloon bar in the Frontier Lodge, we do not have a liquor
license. Guests are welcome to BYOB and we will be happy to store it for you in our community
refrigerator in the lodge. Our bar is a popular gathering place for guests to get to know each other
while enjoying an evening beer, glass of wine or a cocktail. (We do have a variety of sodas and
bottled water for purchase in the lodge at all times.)
Entertainment: Every guest's itinerary varies because of the many choices of activities on and off

can get to know other guests or participate in activities that are offered such as game night, line
dancing, campfires and more. We leave that up to our guests to choose how much or how little they
want to be involved. After all it is their vacation!

Howard Creek Ranch
Basic Information:
Howard Creek Ranch, a registered historic site, is a 60-acre
oceanfront farm bordered by miles of beach and mountains; just
south of the 60-mile long "Lost Coast", the Sinkyone Wilderness.

The ranch offers farm animals, flower gardens,
fireplaces/woodstoves, a 75-foot long swinging foot bridge over
Howard Creek, plus hot tubs and a sauna. Accommodations include
cabins, suites and rooms, all different, but all furnished with
antiques, large comfortable beds, handmade quilts or comforters,
and views of the mountains, ocean, creek, and/or gardens. Some
accommodate pets by prior arrangement only. Most are designed for
two persons only. Please visit the home page for pictures and
detailed descriptions of each room. Most rooms have kitchenettes
and some have VCRs with TV screens. We also provide wireless
internet access, and of course, a phone is available for your use.

A full ranch breakfast is included in your stay. All reservations are
made over the telephone and not by email. We are a farm stay and
as such differ from your ordinary hotel experience.
www.howardcreekranch.com will give you detailed directions to our
ranch, plus pages of photos including local elk, beach shots, many
pictures of animals and flowers, and historical pictures on our
History Section.

We are located on the beach (well, not on the sand, that would be
dangerous) 180 miles north of San Francisco on Highway 1, a
spectacular scenic drive. We are about 2.5 hours south of Eureka.
Our website has a full page devoted to things to do in the area
including visiting redwoods (some onsite via trails); going
horseback riding on the beach or in the mountains (both novices and
skilled riders accommodated); taking a ride on the famous Skunk
Train for a 3 1/2 hour round trip train ride, viewing whales from the
beach or from a deep sea fishing boat, or going deep sea fishing
from Noyo Harbour; enjoying a German deep massage (gentleness
is always appropriate); tasting wine at our local coastal winery (the
Pacific Star Winery) just south of Westport and once served in the
White House during the ninties) or tasting wines in Anderson Valley
on your way here or on your way home. We have a multitude of
brochures to help you plan your day.

And for those who want to do nothing, there is always a beach
towel and umbrellas for a day of laying on the sand. Then of course,
we have some of the finest dining anywhere in the world on the
Mendocino Coast. We have collected all of the menus so that you
may decide in our living room and make your reservations in
comfort. We also have two new local restaurants opening in the
summer of 2008, The DeHaven Valley Farm and the yet to be
named new restaurant and bar in Westport, three miles south of us.
Last but not least there are numerous shops, galleries, and plant
nurseries on the coast.

If you like to hike this is the place for you. We have onsite trails
and are almost surrounded by wilderness areas with miles and miles
of trails.

When you visit our home page, www.howardcreekranch.com,
please look at the History Section. We were built in 1871 and have
done all of the restoration ourselves, milling the redwood lumber
onsite in addition to dismantling unwanted (unfortunately) old
buildings and reusing the materials from the past. We are not yet
finished. It seems to be a never ending project. We don't make noise
when it would disturb you, so that limits my husband greatly, but it
does make for a peaceful stay for you. So do not be surprised to see
a barn undergoing reconstruction.

Last, but not least, we are three miles north of Westport, a sleepy,
friendly little village, with a deli/grocery store/gas station/post office
all in one and a local crafts and artist's gallery . The building styles
are mostly from the late 1880s and fashioned after those on the
coast of Maine, where many early settlers orignated. The town has
an active population who come together and give barbeques and
other fund rasiers for our volunteer fire department, church, and
village society. The society recently received a grant and purchased
the village headland bluffs facing the ocean with a small cove beach
which is accessed via a long, sturdy wooden stairway. On Mother's
Day we have an annual Rubber Ducky Race. Bring your rubber
ducky and race it on Wages Creek to win glory and prizes.

Laramie River Ranch
Basic Information:

The Laramie River Ranch dates back to the late 1800's and it is this
heritage that is reflected in the lodge and five log cabins. While all
the accommodations have been renovated to provide the comfort of
modern amenities, they maintain the flavor and charm of the old
west.

The Laramie River Ranch has a typical capacity of twenty five
guests. Its small size allows their crew to give each guest their
personal attention.

Horseback riding is the principal activity at any dude ranch! With a
large string of riding horses, wranglers will pick out a horse to
match the ability and personality of each guest. Wranglers take out
small groups of riders for morning, afternoon and all-day rides
across a tremendous variety of terrain. Instructional rides are
available and guests are welcome to help groom and saddle their
own horses if they please.

For those who would like to try their hand at cattle sorting, we
have a lively team penning activity that is fun for all. We round up
our steers, team pen with them for the day, and then lead them back
to pasture for the night. It's a great opportunity to improve your
riding skills while having lot of fun.

When you decide to climb down off your horse our naturalist will
be there to offer you stimulating walks and hikes. You'll learn about
the wide variety of plants and animals that share our mountain
home. Birds, antelope, beaver, and your hand-picked herbal tea are
sure to be topics of conversation at dinner. Other activities include
tubing down the river, learning to swing a rope, orienteering,
volleyball and horseshoes.

In the evenings guests can enjoy guitar music, cowboy poetry, or
late night strolls to gaze at the start and learn about the mythology
of the constellations.

Outdoor activities and fresh mountain air create healthy appetites.
Whether it is on the trail or back at the ranch, meals are an event at
the Laramie River Ranch. Delicious breads and desserts, fresh

Western Pleasure Guest Ranch
Basic Information:
As our guest you will saddle up for some good old-fashioned fun as
you ride along the ridges and valleys of this splendid land. Ride
through grazing cattle or sneak a peek at deer, bear, and other
wildlife in their native surroundings. Join in some friendly
competition on our mounted Destination Scavenger Hunt or feed
your “need for speed” on one of our fast rides or participate in an
afternoon of games on horseback.

Children are welcome at the ranch and have the opportunity to be
involved in one of the most educational and fun children's program
available today. They learn horse husbandry skills and equipment
care. Every morning they will help catch and saddle their own horse.

Western Pleasure Guest Ranch is a year round destination. As
North Idaho is transformed by a blanket of white, let our “gentle
giants” treat you to a horse drawn sleigh ride or indulge in
cross-country skiing, snow shoeing or downhill sledding. At the
conclusion of these winter activities, enjoy the romance of coming
back to a fire-warmed cabin or warming up next to the big stone
fireplace in the lodge.

Our log lodge, hewn from local timber, features six spacious guest
rooms; each with private baths or discover the peace and serenity of
our modern log cabins in secluded settings. Each cabin can
accommodate up to six, yet is cozy enough for two, with one
bedroom, a full bath, and a sleeping loft for four.

Bonanza Creek Guest Ranch
Basic Information:
Since the 1870's Montana ranchhands have roamed the range and
worked cattle along the banks of Bonanza Creek. A century later,
very little has changed...we've just now set a place at the table for
you.

between with lessons available. Handicap riding is also available.
In June and Sept we cater only to the advanced riders. In July and
August all riders are welcome.
Adult only weeks are the first two weeks in June and all of
September.
Riding can be through open meadows, canyons and wooded
mountainsides. Most rides are half a day with one all day ride
always with a beautiful view of the Castle and Crazy Mountains.
This is a family operated cattle ranch raising 1500 head of cattle on
25,000 acres. Rates include new log cabins, 3 hearty meals a day,
horseback riding, cowboy cookout, fishing, mountain biking, team
penning, handicap riding, wildlife watching and that wonderful

A Tennessee Guest Ranch
Basic Information:
Welcome to our beautiful Tennessee Guest Ranch! It’s time for you to round up the family
and gallop on over to the Tennessee Guest Ranch in the beautiful foothills of Tennessee!
Each guest receives their very own Guest Ranch Horse at check-in! Our family can’t wait to
share our Southern hospitality, gorgeous mountain-valley views, and our ‘beautiful horses’
with you and your whole family! Your unbelievable horse experience is just a 45 minute
gallop north of Chattanooga, Tennessee on our family owned and operated guest ranch.
You will find that our ‘family owned and operated’ guest ranch is able to provide lower
prices than most other ranches while offering exclusive semi-private and private ranch stays
for your family. That’s right! Semi-private or private ‘family ranch vacations’! Our ranch
only hosts a maximum of eight to ten riding guests at a time so this means that there are only
two to three families at the ranch at a time! Our U.S. and International guests are always
thrilled with their incredible horse experience and Southern hospitality at the Sequatchie
Valley B&B Guest Ranch in Tennessee!
Since you may have found out about our ranch through other web based travel companies,
you may not have actually visited our ‘Official’ Guest Ranch website. After reviewing the
info below, please be sure to visit our web site directly at www.TNHorseVacation.com for
more information and photos of our Guest Ranch and a peak at some of our beautiful Guest
Ranch Horses.
So what is a day like at the Tennessee Guest Ranch? Well, first of all you better keep your
boots by your bed because you'll be up at the crack of dawn...really! When the rooster crows
it's time to feed your horse, groom him and clean out his hooves...and that's all before
breakfast! When the breakfast bell rings...come and get it! "Or come and fix it", we should
say! That's because here at the ranch you'll be eatin’ like the ranchers and cowboys did out
west in the ole’ days…with a few modern conveniences of course! Yep, you’ll be rolling
your own oats, grinding your own grains, and maybe even milking the cow!
After breakfast, it's time to mount up and hit the trail (or the training arena)! The first day of
your vacation will actually be training on the ranch with two separate riding sessions...one
after breakfast and the other after lunch! The horsemanship training is excellent, the views -
whether in the ring or on the trail - are in incredible! Starting on the second day, don't forget
to pack your saddle bags for our riverside lunch and Bible study on the trail! That’s right,
while relaxing riverside during lunch your family will also enjoy learning what the Bible has
to say about horses! Did you know there are over 200 scriptures relating to horses in the
Bible? You will be amazed at what God has to say about one of His most magnificent
creatures…the Horse! After lunch and relaxation at the river it’s time to mount up and move
‘em out…back to the ranch…or farther down the trail!
When your day in the saddle is over, there is still plenty of work to be done! Back at the
ranch you’ll take care of your beautiful steed by grooming him, cleaning out his hooves and
feeding him. Depending on the season your horse may even need a quick bath! At the end of
the day you’ll enjoy a Southern home-cooked dinner on the old Johnson Dairy Farm at the
Cookie Jar Café or some delicious country hand-pulled B-B-Q at one of our towns quaint

Bucking S Working Cattle and Guest Ranch
Basic Information:
The Bucking S is a traditional working cattle & guest ranch and we
enjoy sharing our home and ranch life with our guests. We are
located in south central Wyoming. Our 10,000 acre ranch is tucked
away in a beautiful valley surrounded by the Seminoe, Shirley and
Pedro mountains at an altitude of 6,800 to over 8,000 feet. We
provide summer pasture for about 300 to 400 head of cattle from
mid-May through mid-October. During that time we also open our
doors to guests from all over the country and around the world. In
order to provide you with a unique and personal ranch vacation we
limit our guest numbers to a maximum of twelve guests per week.
Our ranch week goes from Sunday through Sunday with riding
activities from Monday through Saturday. The rides go cross country
and there is no nose-to-tail riding. Our wranglers will be happy to
provide riding instructions and you can always rely on their help
and hints during all of our rides. You will enjoy the stunning views,
the vast uninhabited open spaces around us and the absolute
absence of any signs or noise of modern day life. You can get
involved in the ranch and cattle work as much or little as you like.

RED REFLET RANCH
Basic Information:
Located in Ten Sleep, a beautiful, quiet area of Wyoming, the Red
Reflet (re-flay) is both a working ranch and luxurious Guest
Ranch/Resort, that utilizes over 25,000 acres of land which range
from 4,200' to 8,300' in elevation, and encompassing many
spectacular landscapes. These landscapes transition from cacti
desert to Aspen forests to deep limestone canyons fringed with giant
Ponderosa Pines, to rolling sage covered hills, to multicolored rock
layered canyons in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains. But
minutes away are the fascinating Castle Gardens and the lakes,
streams, and trails of the 1,115,000 acre Big Horn National Forest,
and nearly 200,000 acres of the Cloud Peak Wilderness with peaks
to 13,175'. There is so much to explore and so many surprises, we
are sure you will be delighted and enthralled.

Accomodations: Nothing beats riding home to a great home cooked meal! At the TX we are based
and work out of three seasonal cow camps where the cattle are located during the season. Our camps
are original home stead sites with well know local history. The camps are located in a scenic,
comfortable camp style setting away from it all! Our camp cabin is where great ranch style home
cooked meals are prepared. We dine there, we consider it home and we want you to feel like part of
the family. This is where hot coffee, tea, coco, water and a verity of cold drink mixes are readily
available. Everyone sleeps in wall tents on camp beds. Wood heating stoves are supplied. Camp
facilities include out houses, out door shower house, a wash area with spring fed water tank, fresh
water for drinking and personal use.
Dining: Home-cooked meals are prepared in a log cabin and are eaten at tables in the cabin or
outdoors around the campfire.
Entertainment: During evenings we like to relax and unwind around a warm open camp fire
reminiscing the day with a bit of humor, tunes, guitar and with friends from around the globe. We
like to practice roping so count on a roping match or two! What ever it may be and what more could
you ask for!
