Encourage students to create a picture of Margalo (however they picture her).
Give students time to hide their bird from a classmate. (One way to organize this would
be to have two groups: the Stuart Littles and the Snowbells. Allow one group to hide
their bird while the other doesn’t look. Then switch. One Stuart Little will be paired
up with one Snowbell.) Providing the class with a secret code, have each student write
a message to their classmate describing where the bird is hiding. Give students time to
depict the message and find the bird.
