TeesByTina: Part-time Project Assistant
TeesByTina sells high quality women's tanks, camisoles, cap sleeves and 3/4 length tops. These tops are differentiated in the
Seamless Construction- They are manufactured on high tech equipment (tubular construction rather than cut and
sew) which creates a better fit with no side seams
Great Fit- We market the shirts as "one size fits most" as the tops have a construction that allows them to stretch
while maintaining the shape and integrity of the top. The reality is that the tops enhance and flatter the figures of
women who are fit while providing a slimming aspect for women who are a bit more robust. Furthermore the shirts
can be pulled down to create a longer look or scrunched up for a "sexier" look.
Wide Variety of Colors and Prints- The tops are offered in over 25 colors and prints including exciting choices such as
snake lime green and dark brown leopard.
Remarkable Feel- This may the most important yet hardest to convey attribute. The tops have a wonderful "hand
feel" and they receive almost universal praise when felt; however, it is difficult to convey feel over the internet.
We are seeking to develop a web based marketing strategy that is "free". For instance, we are currently experimenting with
paid advertisements on Facebook and online college newspapers; however, we believe there is a unique opportunity to create
interesting (edgy? funny? sexy?) videos that demonstrate the teesbytina product. One of the real challenges with web-based
sales of apparel is the difficulty to convey the product attributes including look, fit and feel. The goal of this project is to find a
way to convey these attributes via the web while making the conveyance method sufficiently interesting that it drives traffic to
the website and ultimately sales.
We are flexible with respect to our involvement in the project and can be as engaged as little or as much as desired. We
thought of USC for this activity as I participated in marketing project many years ago when I was a graduate student at the
Wharton School of Business at the Univ of Pennsylvania and I recall that we were able to provide a lot of neat insights to the
business we were advising while receiving valuable real-life experience.
Thank you for your consideration of this project and please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions.
