      Staff present: Mrs J M Stone.

      The meeting opened at 6.30pm.

260   DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

      None.

261   MINUTES

      Prop. D Wenn, Sec. I D Dopson.

      Resolved: Minutes of meeting held 10 March 2009, having been circulated to all members,
      were taken as read, approved and signed by the Chairman.

262   MATTERS ARISING

      Min. 254 – Architect – Mrs P D Bosworth gave an update.

      Min. 258 – Exchange of Information Reports by Councillors with Liaison Responsibility – G E
      Withers advised that general information should not be recorded.

      MATTERS FOR DECISION

      That this Council agrees to take the specified action in respect of each of the "Matters for
      Decision" items as listed on the Agenda dated 8 April 2009 and debated at the meeting held on
      14 April 2009.

      Agreed.

263   CALVERTON THEATRE GROUP

      Letter from Calverton Theatre Group re Village Hall. Decision to give notice to remove storage
      items upheld.

264   MANSFIELD LANE CEMETERY

      Letter from Mr D Miller regarding Memorial Board, Cemetery.        Agreed at Parish Council
      expense.

265   CALVERTON UNDER 13s FC

      Letter from Calverton Under 13s Football Club re match fees. Original fees upheld.

266   CALVERTON HORTICULTURAL AND CRAFT SHOW

      Request for sponsorship/donation. Agreed donation of £200.00 towards cost of hall hire and
      prize money.

267   PLANNING OBSERVATIONS

      Prop. D Wenn, Sec. D S Musson.

       2009/0292      Car Park, North Green.
                      Use of existing car park for site offices and storage. No objections.

268   LEICESTER HOUSING ASSOCIATION

      Prop. D S Musson, Sec. D Wenn.

      That this Council discusses and agrees to the offer made by Leicester Housing Association with
      regard to the various green areas on the bottom estate.

      Unless Leicester Housing Association are able to accompany the dedication of green spaces
      with a substantial commuted sum to cover long term maintenance, the Parish Council are
      unable to consider the offer.

269   NAVCH

      Prop. Mrs P D Bosworth, Sec. D Wenn.

      That the Parish Council renews the membership of NAVACH (Nottinghamshire Association of
      Village and Community Halls) currently registered in the name of Mrs P D Bosworth. Agreed.

270   RISK ASSESSMENT

      Prop. D Wenn, Sec. D S Musson.

      That this Council agrees to accept the conclusion that it is reasonable to accept the joint
      assessment of the Responsible Financial Officer and the Chairman, following a review carried
      out by them (in accordance with the procedures outlined in the “Practitioners Guide 2003 to
      Governance and Accountability in Local Councils in England and Wales”) during the period
      01/04/08 to 31/03/09 that the Council faces no unreasonable risk with particular reference to the
      following:

      All financial matters
      Organisational matters
      Contracts
      Personnel, including health and safety.

      Agreed.

      RESPONSIBILITY
