Healthy Families
This is a voluntary service that parents can choose to use in order to improve child
rearing. It offers advice and education on raising children. It provides individualized
information and support to families who need it. It also provides information of
community resources. This is a free program which operates M-F, 9 am to 430 pm.

Planned Parenthood of Greater Indiana
Sliding scale facility which administers annual female exams such as pap smears, breast
exams, and self-exam instruction. It can supply all birth control methods, including
emergency contraception. Doctors can diagnosis and treat urinary tract, vaginal, and
sexually transmitted infections. Women or men can also receive HIV/AIDS testing. All
services are confidential.

Hoosier Healthwise
This is a health insurance program offered by the Indiana Family and Social Services
Agency. Little or no cost medical assistance for pregnant women and children with
incomes at or just above poverty level.
        Presumptive Eligibility (PE)
        Allows for pregnant women to receive earlier coverage of prenatal care while

Pregnancy Assistance Center
Free pregnancy testing, counseling, and referrals to legal services. They also offer
maternity clothing, baby clothing, and furnishings.

Indiana Family Helpline
This is a free helpline provided by the Indiana Department of Health, Maternal, and Child
Health Services. Adults may call this number to obtain information about prenatal and
child healthcare, Medicaid services, or for referrals to emergency housing or food
pantries. Specialists will make referrals to whatever community resources are needed
and are available from 730 am to 5 pm.

Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program
A free, home-based program helping low to middle income families with children under
12 to improve their nutrition. They also provide a free, six week “Have a Healthy Baby”
program which targets pregnant teens to help improve their diets in order to have
healthier babies.

Caring, non-judgmental support to girls and women who are distressed by an unplanned
pregnancy. Birthright presents many services and refers for many more.

Teen Mops: Better Moms Make a Better World
Teen Mops provides a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where teen mothers
can come together with others who are in a similar life situation. No cost, dinner and
childcare provided. Make connections and find support. If you are pregnant or already
have a baby and are under 21, Teen Mops is for you.
