In recent interviews, Eva Longoria has been quite
forthcoming about her own marital bliss but – as a
Hollywood star known for her down-to-earth private
life and avoidance of silliness – she will (hopefully)
be able to avoid the curse.
Previously married to General Hospital TV star Tyler
Christopher from 2002 to 2004, Eva met current
husband Tony Park in November 2004, though they
didn’t start going out together for two months. She
has recalled that Parker – a French basketballer
playing for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs – proposed,
on 30 November 2006, amidst candles and rose
petals. Their official wedding was a civil ceremony
at the Paris City Hall on 7 June 2007, officiated by
the mayor, where Eva wore a Chanel-designed white
tulle and sequin-embroidered dress and tulle jacket.
One week later they held a Roman Catholic ceremo-
ny at the Eglise Saint-Germain l’Auxerrois. Created
by Venezuelan designer Angel Sanchez, the bride’s

It probably doesn’t hurt that Parker is also
seven years younger than Longoria: he was
born on 17 May 1982; she on 15 March
1975 (Pisces and Taurus, respectively).
In another online interview, she declared, Ref.-Nr. 1077

Harry Potter and the
Deathly Hallows: Part I
(Worldwide release: 19 November)
So here it is: the final run in for Harry Potter (even though author
J.K. Rowling has hinted she might write another book), which is
being released over two parts (the second is scheduled for 15 July
Harry (DANIEL RADCLIFFE), Ron (RUPERT GRINT), and Hermione
(EMMA WATSON) must find the pieces of the Horcruxes – Volde-
mort’s (RALPH FIENNES) soul that he himself removed from his
being and hid in obscure locations, both far and wide. If our heroic
trio are unable to locate and destroy them all, Voldemort will
remain immortal and become even stronger. Also thrown into the
equation – they must perform this task without the guidance of
their Hogwarts professors or the protection of Professor Dumb-
ledore (MICHAEL GAMBON); plus a combination of dark forces,
romantic tensions and long-held secrets threaten their friendship
while on the quest.
Meanwhile, the long-feared war is underway and Voldemort’s
Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts,
terrorising and arresting anyone who opposes them as they search
for the one thing most valuable to Voldemort – our Harry, whose
only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort’s servants find
As he searches for clues, Harry uncovers an old and almost forgot-
ten tale – the legend of the Deathly Hallows – and, if the legend
turns out to be true, it could give Voldemort the ultimate power
he so desperately seeks. But what Harry doesn’t know is that his
future has already been mapped out by his past when, on that
fateful day, he became “The Boy Who Lived”. No longer just a boy,
Harry is drawing ever closer to the task for which he has been pre-
paring since the first day he stepped into Hogwarts: the ultimate
showdown with Voldemort.
There were hopes the film would be released in 3D but the makers
could not deliver the finished article in time for its 19 November
release date. A delay would have meant missing the build-up to
Thanksgiving Day in the States – one of the biggest box office
money-spinning periods of the year.
Also stars HELENA BONHAM CARTER, ROBBIE COLTRANE, TOM

Monday 22 November is an important date on the music calendar as some
of the industry’s big names square up with the release of their new albums.
Super Monday, as it has already been dubbed, is being compared to Monday

World. The former will call on their legion of fans, who are eagerly waiting for
this as it sees the return of ROBBIE WILLIAMS; while the modern-day boy
band will hope their current popularity gives them top spot in this chart scrap.
Both camps will come out fighting the weekend before as the TT plan is to
showcase their new single, The Flood, live on the X-Factor, while JLS will no
doubt claim a few sales as they are supplying this year’s official Children In
Need charity single, Love You More.
And, to top it all, there are scheduled releases on 22 November from

Now where did I put my sparkler?
BY RAY BRADBURY
A frightening vision of the future when firemen don’t put out fires… they start them! Written by Bradbury
during the Cold War years, the story tales place in an unspecified time in the future where America has
completely abandoned self-control. This America is filled with lawlessness and anyone caught reading or pos-
sessing illegal books is confined to a mental hospital, while the books are burned by the firemen.
Firefighter Guy Montag is ransacking the book-filled house of an old woman when he accidentally reads a line
in one of her books, “Time has fallen asleep in the afternoon sunshine”, and steals the book. The woman
refuses to leave her house and her books, choosing instead to light a match in an act of martyrdom.
Scarred by the woman’s suicide, Montag becomes physically ill and calls in for sick leave but at home he
argues with his wife, Mildred, over the book he himself has stolen. Over the course of a year he hides dozens
of books in the ventilation shafts of his own house, and tries to memorise them to preserve their contents.
However, Montag’s books are discovered and he is forced to burn his own home as well as his books. Angry
and afraid, Montag turns the flame-thrower on his boss and becomes a fugitive. He flees to the countryside
and meets a group of rebel book-lovers and is astonished to find out that they have memorised entire books,
preserving them orally until the law against books is overturned.
War breaks out and Montag watches helplessly as jet bombers fly overhead and attack the city with nuclear
weapons. At the moment of the explosion, the emotion of seeing the city burned causes a key phrase from
the Bible to emerge from the depths of Montag’s memory. The final page of the novel shows this phrase to be

This age old saying conjures up images of the stereo-

an unflattering balloon of a dress, watching yet another
dear friend of hers bag the man of her dreams – while
she stands by and holds her trail. Not any more!
The role of bridesmaid has never been more enjoyable
as it is right now. Not only do they get to enjoy all the fun
of the wedding day without all the stress of organising
it but, following the most recent trends, they will also
finally be able to get to choose what they wear on the
In past years every bridesmaid would wear one style and
colour of dress that the bride decided upon, and there
really was no easy way for a bridesmaid to let her know
the bride’s choice was neither fashionable nor flattering.
Autumn 2010 has brought about a new approach for
bridesmaid attire, which allows the bridesmaid not only
a say in what they wear but the option to actually choose
the dress. The bride will simply give her choice in colour
and then let the bridesmaids decide what suits them
best and find an off the rack dress of any designer. This
works not only in favour of the bridesmaids but also the
bride herself as it removes yet another stressful duty
from her already huge list of jobs to do.
One important thing to consider if you are going to follow
this trend for your wedding is to always let the brides-
maids know the level of formality of the wedding; you
don’t want one bridesmaid wearing something resem-
bling a sundress and another in a heavy ball gown. If
you’re the lucky bridesmaid then make sure you make
the most of it and choose something you love and will
be happy to wear again.
Another trend that has hit weddings this year is colour,
so expect to see some bold options for bridesmaid
dresses, along with some jewel-encrusted detailing.

ditional choice in colour for the dress than try opting for Aye Do (ayedo.co.uk):

A happy mood
To me every bride looks beautiful on their wedding day and
it was extremely difficult to choose a favourite from the thou-
sands of images I have on file, as I have been photographing
weddings here on Mallorca for more than 10 years. It was
a virtually impossible task as there are so many that fall
within the category “favourite wedding photograph”. The one
I eventually chose is recent and was taken in summer this
year on Alcudia beach. It was an interesting wedding in many
ways, as the wedding party consisted of only three people:
the bride, the groom and their young daughter.
As the happy couple were Hungarian and spoke virtually no English and no Spanish,
all communication between us had to be made through a translator. My aim, as with
all my wedding commissions, is to capture the mood of happiness on this very spe-
cial day and I think this is reflected perfectly in this shot, as Anett looks so relaxed,
happy and enjoying the moment. The soft light from the late afternoon sun on her
left side and a burst of fill-in flash gave me the shot I was looking for. We were all
very pleased with the results.

Hot Tip from Frank!
Most important: the sympathy between you and the photographer. If you don’t like him/her, you won’t open
up for the photos and they will not get the best shots of you. He/she has to be very energetic and motivat-
ed to capture all the beautiful emotions, and at the same time modest and not too extrovert to blend into
the background – so you and your guests will forget he’s there… the perfect conditions for making brilliant

MOOD THE IDEAL AMBIENCE
Mood Beach Bar & Restaurant has been gaining quite a reputation this
year as the ideal wedding venue. The location is both beautiful and
incredibly flexible, making it just as perfect for an intimate gathering as
an all-out spectacular show-stopper of a wedding.
Mood has several different areas available for your special day, includ-
ing a private elevated beach area overlooking the sea, which is highly
recommended as a stunning setting for the ceremony. There are out-
door and indoor areas, so all-year-round celebrations are possible.
Depending on your requirements you can have the exclusivity of one
area or the entire club – as you wish.
The dedicated events team at Mood can supply many of the special
touches in-house: from a rose petal-strewn red carpet to customised
table plans and menus; from sourcing your ideal live music to the per-
fect vintage car for the wedding party to arrive in; or even a luxury yacht
for the newlywed couple to sail away on.
They also have excellent relationships with several of the wedding plan-
ning companies in Mallorca.
For the wedding breakfast, if you want a formal sit-down meal, execu-
tive chef Hector Fiat and his team are very capable of delivering excel-
lent classic dishes or a more nouveau style if you prefer. Or you can
choose a more relaxed style of catering for your guests with an open-air
barbecue and buffet – it’s completely down to your wishes.

LIFE & LIVING
There have not been any noticeable developments on the S-Class in
terms of drive controls and, due to its sheer size, it is cumbersome and
stubborn on steering. It is also very, very heavy; weighing the equivalent
of two C-Class Mercedes. The price is not too appealing either. The 57 is
over €175,000 more than the flagship S-600 without really offering any
real improvements in aesthetics or drivability. The 62 will cost its owner
close to €300,000.
The Maybach may be heavy, but it is anything but sluggish. Loaded with
a twin-turbo V12 (currently the most powerful production engine in the
world) and over 550 bhp, this giant can certainly move.
It’s clear what demographic is being targeted here for the 57 and the
62. According to Maybach themselves, the typical customer will be
capitalising around €45 million. For these customers, the Maybach will
improve on their working life, allowing the owner to continue working,
rest or relax in between meetings. That €300,000 then becomes money
well spent. However, although there have been thousands upon thou-
sands spent on creating this lavish interior, the Maybach seems to lack
subtlety. It is too large and bulky to be refined and aerodynamic like the
comparative bargain of the S-600.
Maybach have succeeded in creating the ultimate in luxury for its pas-
sengers. As a result, it is almost as if all other aspects of either the 57
or 62 have been neglected. The exterior styling has suffered and, from
the driver’s perspective, the Maybach can be tiresome to manoeuvre.
However, in this instance these potential problems are probably not of
the owner’s concern, as they’ll be enjoying a brief massage and a Mon-
tecristo in the back.
Verdict: The ultimate in opulence and business-friendly motoring. VITAL STATISTICS
But for €300,000 you’d expect the chauffeur to be included.

Winemaking process: The grapes were hand-picked in September 2009. They were de-stemmed and
placed in stainless steel tanks, where they began a fermentation process and were given “remontadas” three
times a day until they finished fermentation. Remontadas is the process of taking the grape juice from the bottom of the tanks and placing it at the top. The
aim is for the juice to have maximum skin contact with the grape skins. Fermentation lasted three weeks and then the wine was pressed. The wine then
proceeded to melolatic fermentation and was placed in 300-litre American oak barrels for six months. It was then was filtered and bottled in June 2010.

Wine notes: Negre 2009 is the second vintage of Bodegas Angel. It has changed in some aspects in relation to the 2008 vintage. It has a richer colour

You should start by looking at your footwork for solid ball striking. All great ball strikers have good footwork in common.
I will often video the feet of a student separately when analysing their swing.
The power is sourced from the ground and a proper swing starts from the ground up. Imagine trying to play golf wearing ice skates…
how far could you hit it then?
Golf shoes have studs for a reason, and both feet should be in contact with the ground at address and remain in contact with the
ground during the backswing. At the completion of the backswing around 75 per cent of your weight should have shifted to your right
foot (for right-handed golfers). The majority of golfers can manage this without too many issues; it is the downswing that causes the
problems. Most high-handicappers struggle with their footwork. Some get up on their toes on the downswing, which most often causes
a wicked slice or a pull hook. Others fall back on their heels, which causes similar problems.
To “strike it better” the ball MUST be hit it on the downswing. To achieve this your weight must transfer to your left foot
during the downswing. Here’s the key: at impact you should have around 75 per cent of your weight on your left foot
and most of that should be in the left heel. Get the footwork right and then you will be able to keep your hands in
front of the clubhead at impact and hit “ball then the ground” (see how Tiger does it in the photo sequence).
Practice drill: Hit from grass, NOT mats, for this drill.
With the ball in the centre of your stance and a 7 or 8-iron in
your hand. Stick a tee peg FLUSH into the ground three to four
centimetres in FRONT of your ball. The aim is to HIT the tee. The
ball will, of course, get in the way and be struck on the down-
swing before the bottom of the swing arc. This issue we welcome a new
