                               Dear Counselor or Principal:

                               Attached please find the application and instructions for the 2009 Scholarship
                               and Student of the Year Awards. This is an annual event sponsored by the
                               Washington, DC Chapter of Concerned Black Men, Inc.® {CBM-DC}.

                               The completed application and all requested information must be received No
                               Later Than Tuesday – May 05, 2009, and mailed to:

                               This dual-purpose application must be used for both the Student of the Year as
                               well as the Scholarship Applicant. Feel free to photocopy the application as
                               needed. There is no limit to the number of students that can apply. Please post
                               the instructions where all students will have access to it.
