Description of Dragonfly Nymph
               • 15 mm long
               • Dark brown with algae
               • 6 legs
               • Crawled on bottom
               • Hairy legs and
                 abdomen
               • Eyes like an adult
                 dragonfly
             Interesting Facts
• Dragonfly nymphs are the larva stage of the
  dragonfly.
• Some types can remain as a larva for over a year!
• Dragonfly larva are predators and eat many
  aquatic insects in the brook and pond.
• Dragonfly nymphs take in water through its
  abdomen and then over its gills. This adaptation
  allows it to stay under longer because it doesn’t
  have to come up for air.
