Call for Poster Presentations
Instructions:
To submit an entry for a poster presentation, please email a completed conference registration form (available for download at bapg.org) and an abstract of 250 words or less and email it to abstracts@bapg.org no later than July 31, 2009. Additionally, please note the following: Symposium Fee: Student registration fee is $25 before September 30, 2009 and $40 thereafter; who are experts in their fields; lunch; and happy hour with cash bar.
this covers attendance on the conference day including seminars from an array of guest speakers
Awards: Awards will be given for the top 3 poster presentations, which will be judged on the following criteria: Relevance of work and professionalism in preparation. 1st PLACE: $500, 2nd PLACE: $300, 3rd PLACE - $200 Guidelines:
The presentation should reflect original research conducted in an Earth Science field. Students will participants. Poster Specifications:
be expected to be present with their poster to discuss their work with judges and other conference
SIZE: No larger than 36” x 42” with no text smaller than size 20 font.
Display boards and easels will be provided. A limited supply of pushpins will be available, please bring your own. Please, no tape, Velcro or glue. You may choose to provide hand-outs or other relevant supplemental information as needed.
