Executive Summary

Index

The index will no longer be maintained. The goal is to have users move towards the electronic
copy of the manual. The TCP Unit hopes to minimize the number of users printing the manual,
since the manual is revised annually, meaning that copies would have to be printed annually by
each user.
One way to encourage the use of the electronic version is to have users utilize the search
functions that an electronic document offers. Much like a printed index, if the user is looking for
a specific topic, all that is required is that they type the topic of interest into the “Find” function.
In many ways this is an improvement on the printed index and, in addition, reduces the hours
needed to maintain the TCP Design Manual.
