costs necessary to carry out this work.”

/Aquatic Passage Project – Approximately 147 miles of roads,
located in seven distressed counties in Idaho and Wyoming will
receive replacement, improvement and removal of aquatic
passage barriers.

(1) $250,000,000 – “…hazardous fuels reduction, forest health
protection, rehabilitation, and hazard mitigation activities on Federal

II. United States Department of Interior
A. Bureau of Reclamation
1. Allocation $1,000,000,000
a) $10,000,000 Colorado River Salinity Opportunity Control
Funding Projects that will control nearly 12,000 tons of salt that would
otherwise enter the Colorado River system are being solicited from
Wyoming, Colorado, Utah Arizona and Nevada utilizing $10 million in
funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The number
of projects and locations will be determined when grant awards are
made following the proposal submission due date of May 14, 2009, and
subsequent award date no later than June 30, 2009. A Funding
Opportunity Announcement seeking salinity control projects was posted
on March 31, 2009, on http://www.grants.gov.
b) $126,000,000 – “…for water reclamation and reuse projects
authorized…” under Title XVI Water Reclamation and Reuse Program
(1) Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to participate in the
planning, design, and construction of five water reclamation and
reuse projects.
(2) Develop a program that would identify other water recycling
opportunities throughout the 17 Western states, and to conduct
appraisal‐level and feasibility‐level studies to determine if those
opportunities are worthy of implementation.
(3) Authorizes the Secretary to conduct research and construct
demonstration facilities.

(1) The Act set terms and conditions for completing the Central
Utah Project, which diverts stores and delivers large quantities of
