Turkeys Distribution
Social Services Program
On November 19th Social Services
distributed turkeys, pies and meal
fixings for families to take home and
prepare a Thanksgiving meal with loved
ones. We gave out a total of 4,323
Line of individuals to receive a turkey wrapped
around our campus. Our volunteers worked
fast within an hour and a half there was no
                                         waiting for a turkey!

The day was filled with smiles and tears of joy
as clients left knowing they could provide a
Thanksgiving dinner for their family. Thank you
for making this possible for so many in need.

                                                      volunteers that helped out
that day! We could not have

                                          Meet the Staff
   Meet Susan C. Gardiner, Adoption
   Services Coordinator. Susan has been
with Catholic Charities for 19 years. She
is a graduate of College of Southern
Nevada with a degree in Business
   Administration. Susan was a volunteer
with the agency in the Regina Hall
Program, a home for troubled teenage
girls. She later began working in the
   Senior Program and then transferred
to Adoption Services. As an adult
adoptee, she brings a unique experience
to the team and can identify with our
clients. Susan states, “I am honored to
have placed a baby in the adoptive
parents’ arms, and years later be present
for the reunion of this child meeting their
birthparents for the first time since their
adoption took place.” As Coordinator her
role involves handling inquires about the
adoption process, administrative support for staff, and preparing case and court
documents. The most enjoyable part for Susan is providing adoptees with non-
identifying information about their birthparents. It provides them with genetic
information they generally have not had access to their entire lives. Fortunately,
the adoption trend has evolved to more openness which benefits everyone.
Susan feels it is truly a privilege working with Catholic Charities and the Adoption
   Services team.

We are honored to have you working with us here at Catholic Charities and
appreciate all you do. Thank you Susan!
