Suggested Agenda Items/Issues for Consideration
Spring Term 2011
This information is of relevance to the chair of governors, the headteacher and the clerk.

The table on the following pages lists issues for consideration/review in the light of statutory requirements and local decisions. They may
be considered by the full governing body/committees/working groups or named governors, depending on individual schools’
arrangements for the management of governing body business.

Many Local Authority documents and resources mentioned in the table below are available on the Cambridgeshire County Council
(CCC) Education Portal (also known as the ‘Schools Portal’): www.ccceducation.net . This document can be located at

Governors E-Learning is an online training website for governors, which was developed by the Eastern Leadership Centre in
partnership with several local authorities. It provides an opportunity for governors to access training more easily from their own
homes, offices and schools and promote discussion about a range of topics in governors meetings. GEL will supplement
conventional face-to-face training, rather than replace it. Additional information can be accessed through the Hot topics and Clerks’
 Page sections of the website.
