Purpose:                    Under the general supervision and technical guidance of the Child Protection Specialist, assist in the
                             development and execution of various project components and activities of UNICEF assessment to improve
                             access of vulnerable children to basic and special protection measures under the child protection programme in
                             all governorates.

Major Duties And            Monitor usage of UNICEF inputs. Identify necessary action for project adjustments. Consolidate information
Responsibilities:            gathered in the governorate for project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation purposes including the
                             flow of supply and non supply assistance including control plans, progress reports, project input. Keep statistics
                             of beneficiaries supported by the implemented activities.
                            Effect financial monitoring of cash and supply assistance in the relevant governorates by inputting information
                             and reviewing ProMS reports to ensure that implementation is in accordance with plans. Maintain proper records
                             of cash assistance to government and effect careful review of liquidations presented by government/NGOs.
                             Prepare supporting documents for processing of programme transactions.
                            Contributes to the preparation of status and progress reports by providing information, preparing tables and
                             drafting selected sections of it. Prepares background material for use in discussions and briefing sessions.
                            Arranges for the recording and administrative processing of government requests for assistance.
                            Liaise with section staff to provide required support to consultant engineers/monitors on all administrative and
                             financial issues. Ensure timely compliance of obligations with UNICEF contractors.
                            Assist in the identification formulation and development of project, objectives and activities. Contributes to the
                             preparation of periodic programme reviews vis-a-vis work plan’s objectives. Document and update changes in
                             the work plans.
                            Ensure accurate and timely inputs of project information in computerised programme system and prepare inputs
                             for sectoral programme documents and reports as required.
                            Performs other duties as required.

Minimum                 Education: Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university degree in a field
Requirements            related to the work of the organization.
                       Experience: Six years of progressively responsible for administrative work of which at least two years closely related
                        to activities. UNICEF Iraq experience is an asset.
                       Language(s): Fluency in English and Arabic.

                       Required Skills and Knowledge: Good judgement; ability to work in an international or multicultural environment;

                        navigation and common office applications.
