Reviews
Hudson Valley Tigers & Lady Tigers Baseball & Softball Programs The Hudson Valley Tigers Baseball and Hudson Valley Lady Tigers Softball programs are the product of NorthEast Baseball inc. and Play Ball corp. created in 2002. These programs have been created by Drew Marino, John Doherty, Dom Cecere and GianCarlo DiPrima. NorthEast Baseball and Play Ball are professional full service training baseball and softball companies. The primary goal of these programs is to provide a professional educational and training environment for each player to learn the game and enjoy the game to their fullest potential. A fundamental training model is used to develop each player as an individual. The basis for this is derived from respect, sportsmanship and hard work. The philosophy of this program is to maximize the potential talent of each player. While winning my be an integral part of athletics it is not the primary reason for these teams. Development and enhancement of skills are main characteristics of this program. Coaches for these teams are all of professional backgrounds. Supplemental coaching staff are certified by NorthEast Baseball inc. and Play Ball corp. based upon their ability to facilitate the programs goals, techniques, philosophy, methods and professionalism. Each coach must pass a full background check, attend coaches classes and clinics provided by NorthEast Baseball and Play Ball Corp. in order to become certified to coach in this program. Coaches of this program are not compensated at this time and are volunteering there time to enhance these teams. Teams are selected based upon the players athletic ability, respect, sportsmanship and ability to develop his or her talents as a player and individual both on and off the field by the coaches of the respective teams and directors of the program. Players that are selected to these teams are expected to make a full commitment and attend all practices and games and are not permitted to play with any other teams. Making the full commitment to this team will solidify that each player is getting the correct educational methods put forth by the Hudson Valley Tigers and Hudson Valley Lady Tigers thus preventing any confusion in philosophy as well as any overuse situations that occur when playing on multiple teams. Coaches are available for discussion and conversation when available. These should not take place before or immediately after games. We encourage parents to take an active role in their son’s or daughter’s participation on these teams and attend practices and games whenever possible to assist in the fostering in the development of their skills.
