Smoky Mountain Center Access Specialist

County, Haywood Substance Abuse (IOPT) in Waynesville, or Mountain Youth Resources in Franklin.
The Access Center is open 24/7 and they will do a ten minute screening before scheduling an
assessment appointment. They can immediately pull up the available assessment appointments and
schedule you within 3 -14 days.

A long-term residential, therapeutic, treatment program for individuals with chronic substance abuse

for men and a 15 bed facility for women, 10 miles apart. Employ state licensed substance abuse
counselor at both locations. 12 step program. Two in house meetings each week and 2 outside
meetings each week. Two group counseling sessions each week. 1 on 1 as needed. In addition to
counseling, they have a paying work therapy program. Fees are deducted from moneys earned on a
sliding scale. Referral required from NC recognized treatment program. Must be a NC resident. Asked
to stay 90 days up to one year. Does not accept insurance.
