ALARM BOARD NOMINATION 2007
TRACY BARNETT, LONDON BOROUGH OF CAMDEN
For the past year I’ve been proud to be a board member of ALARM. I believe that as a
result of my professional experience/approach I have brought a new dimension to the
I currently chair ALARM’s Counter Fraud SIG. In the 18 months since its inception this
group has held two successful conferences, attracting delegates from across the
country, supported by a number of prominent speakers. The SIG has produced a
national standard for ALARM members on managing the risk of fraud that will be

publication of national standards/best practice guidelines will enable ALARM to meet the
needs of its members as well as increasing our influence and standing within the public
sector and the wider arena.

risk management. I’m an advocate of joint working and understanding between the two
I was a key member of the team who were ‘highly commended’ by Strategic Risk
Magazine for the Council’s ‘Strategic Approach‘ in 2005 and in 2006 won the ALARM

continue to promote/encourage commitment to the work of ALARM. I believe my skills,
background and personality will help take forward the wide agenda that ALARM has set
