JTF2 Pre-Selection Physical Fitness Test
Joint Task Force Two (JTF 2) is the Canadian Forces (CF) Special Operations Forces
(SOF) unit responsible for a broad range of missions, which could include counter-
terrorism operations and armed assistance to other government departments. Determine
your physical fitness readiness is by completing the Level 5 fitness check from the Army
Fitness Manual, available from your unit.

CSOR Pre-Selection Physical Fitness Test
CSOR is a high-readiness, robust and adaptable special operations unit capable of
supporting and conducting a broad range of missions wherever the need exists. The
battalion-sized unit is composed of three direct action companies and a support company.
CSOR personnel are intelligent, physically fit, and possess a host of skills that enable
them to operate effectively in challenging environments.
The Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit
Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CJIRU - CBRN) is an integral
component of CANSOFCOM, and provides a rapid response capability for SOF missions
throughout the world.
Domestically, CJIRU - CBRN is a branch of the National Chemical Biological
Radiological and Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Response Team in association with
the RCMP and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), responsible for CBRN counter-
terrorism operations. Additionally, they provide direct and indirect CBRN support to
Internationally, CJIRU-CBRN provides CBRN support to CF elements in all theatres of
operations, including support to Deployable Health Hazard Assessment Teams, Roto 0s,
international conferences and NATO operations.
Basic Military Swim Standards (BMSS)
The Canadian Forces water safety program has been designed to provide military
personnel with the skills required to function effectively and safely in, on, under or
around the water. All members must pass the basic military swim standard.

3) Rudimentary swimming skills
