                                           1. Pour can of beef broth into slow cooker, and add
boneless pork ribs. Cook on High heat for 4
hours, or until meat shreds easily. Remove meat,
and shred with two forks. It will seem that it's
not working right away, but it will.

Greetings from Wanda
January sure has been a busy month! We have started the weekend meal program,
we have done a lot of shoveling, played host to city crews working on the snow
removal, and so much more.

We had to cancel a couple of activities in January due to all the hustle bustle of
snow removal. These activities will be rescheduled. Watch the activities page for
dates and times.

I was able to give out several senior emergency kits in January. If you missed this
session, and are interested in getting a kit please let me know, and I will be happy
to sit down with you and explain the kit. This is a great resource/tool for your safety
and well-being.

On February 10 at 1:30 p.m. I will be teaching a Savvy Saving Seniors: Steps to
Avoiding Scams Class. This class is to help seniors to know the ins and outs of scams

 Diary,
Oct. 12 – Moved to our new home in Alaska. It’s so beautiful here. The mountains are February Board Meeting
so majestic. Can’t hardly wait to see the snow covering them February 17, 2012
Oct. 17 – Alaska is the most beautiful place on earth. The leaves are turned all colors 1:30 pm
& shades of red & orange. Went for a ride today through the beautiful mountains &
saw two moose. One of God’s creations. This must be paradise. I love it here!
Oct. 19 – Moose season is almost over now. Can’t imagine how anyone would want to Nothing in life is to be feared, it
kill such a beautiful creature. Hope it will snow soon. I love Alaska.
                                                                                                   is only to be understood.
Now is the time to understand more,
Oct. 28 - It snowed last night. Woke up to find everything blanketed in white. It looks
so that we may fear less.
like a postcard. We went outside & cleared the snow off the steps & took turns
                                                                                                         - Marie Curie
shoveling the driveway. Had a snowball fight & when the plow came by, we had to
shovel the driveway again. What a Beautiful place. I think I’ll live here forever.
Nov. 5 – More snow last night. I love it!! Plow came by again. I love it here.
Dec. 10 - -30 is not near as cold as most people think. Towed the car into the garage
to thaw out. Took a cab to work.
Dec. 25 – Merry Freaking Christmas! More Freaking snow! If I ever get my hands on
the son-of-a-gun who drives the plow, I’ll rip him a new one. Don’t know why they don’t
use more gravel on the icy roads.
Dec. 27 – More white Sh**. Been inside for three days except to shovel out the
driveway after that snow plow goes through every time. Can’t go anywhere, car is
stuck in a mountain of white sh**. The weatherman says to expect another 10 inches
of that sh** tonight. Do you know how many shovels full of snow 10 inches is?? Board Members
Dec. 28 – The freaking weatherman was wrong. We got 34 inches of that white sh** President: John Miscovich
this time. At this rate it won’t melt before summer. The snow plow got stuck today. The
b@$+@rd came to the door to ask if he could borrow a snow shovel. After I told him I Vice President: Sister Marie Brent
had broken six shovels already shoveling all that sh** he piled into my driveway, I
broke my last one over his skull. Secretary: Gloria Day
Jan 4 – Finally got out of the house today. Went to the store to get groceries & on the
way back a stupid freaking moose ran out in front of my car & I hit him. Did almost Treasurer: Bill Conley
$3000 in damage to the car. Those beasts should be killed. Wish hunters had killed
them all last September. Director: Marie Blood
May 3 – Took the car to the garage in town. You would not believe the paint & window
chipping from all the gravel they put on the roads. Director: Pricilla “Pruney” Gregg
May 10 – Moved to California. Can’t imagine why anyone in their right mind would ever
                                                                                              Director: Chuck LaPage
