 (Research with Works Cited 25 points, 100 points for the project Poster, plus 25 points for Gallery Walk Notes)

1) SELECT AN ELEMENT (random selection). Every student in your period must have a different element.
This is an individual project, no groups or partners.

2) RESEARCH your element: Fill out the Research chart on the back of this sheet to help you remember the
details of your element. (It will be graded as part of your project.)

     Poster should be 11 x 17
     Must be neat and legible
     Should include location of element on periodic table, properties
     Colorful
     Facts (minimum of 10 facts / or uses ) What is interesting about your element?

4) GALLERY WALK:
     Present your project to the class on assigned date.
     Write down information about other elements.
     Grade each poster with a score from
         o 5-A+ Has everything for 4 points & Goes above & beyond, Extras, Very detailed & informative,
             Lots of Pictures
         o 4- A Neat, Complete, 10 facts, has pictures, uses color, no grammar errors, Table, location, and
             properties
         o 3- B Neat, some errors, has 8 facts, uses color, table, location, properties
         o 2- C Messy, more errors, has 6 facts, missing some key properties of facts
         o 1- D Hard to read, no color, many errors, 4 facts or fewer, missing many key properties or facts
         o 0-F
