									                            Circle K Online Job Application Tips


About our application system:

      The online system will accept applications for all positions at all times. Although
      there may not currently be an opening for each of those positions, store managers
      from nearby stores can also view your application. Additionally, store managers can
      consider you for positions other than the one that you applied for if they have an
      opening for that position.


      For the first 48 hours only the store to which you applied can view & take action on
      your application. After that time, if that store has not taken action on your
      application it will move to the “Pool”, and will then be available to all stores in the
      area.


      You can only have one application in the system at a time, and once it is submitted,
      it cannot be modified. If no one acts on it after 45 days, it will be released and you
      will be allowed to apply again.


Making sure your application is complete:

      This is the final page of the application –




      If you have not seen this page, your application is not complete, and cannot be
      viewed by our store managers. Please log back into the application, you can
      resume where you left off by using the Menu items on the left. For more tips on
      making sure that your application is complete, please see the sections “Circle K
      Select Survey (Assessment)” and “Miscellaneous System Problems” on Pages 6 - 8.

Getting Started:

      If you are a new applicant, click Start a new Application (Figure A below)
      If you started an application previously, selected “Save and Exit” and now want to
      resume, enter your Returning User Name and Password (Figure B below) and click on
      Login. Note: If it has been more than 10 days since you started your application,
      you will have to Start over by clicking on Start a new Application.

Selecting a Store and Position:

      You can narrow the results display by selecting a Job Title to which you want to
      apply.
      In the Location Search, you can select one or several Cities as a filter.




      In the Radius Search, you can select enter a Zip code and optionally an address,
      and then select the maximum distance of the radius by which you want to filter job
      openings from the Maximum Distance drop-down field.

      Click Search. The Results section of the Job Search page refreshes to display a list of
      the jobs that match your search and filter criteria. If the Store to which you want to
      apply does not display in Results section, revise your search and filter criteria as
      necessary.


      Click on the Title of the Job (for example, Customer Service Rep (CSR)) to display
      the Job description, and then click either Click here to apply now! to begin your
      application or close the pop-up window with the X to return the results and view
      another Job description.


Creating a Login Account:




      1. From the Create Login Account page, create a user name in the User Name
      field.
          The value you type for the User Name field must meet the following guidelines:
              •   Must be 6-50 characters in length.
              •   Must contain at least one uppercase alphabetical character.

                  •   Must contain at least one lowercase alphabetical character.
                  •   Cannot contain spaces or special characters.
         Note: if you have applied before, you will need to create a NEW User Name. You
         can reuse your password, security code and recovery questions though.


      2. Type your password in the Password field.
              •       Must be 8-20 characters in length.
              •       Cannot contain spaces.
              •       Must contain at least two non-repeating digits.
              •       Must contain at least one uppercase alphabetical character.
              •       Must contain at least one lowercase alphabetical character.
     3. Re-type your password in the Confirm Password field.
     4. Type your 4-digit security code in the Security Code field.
     5. Select a first recovery question type from the Recovery Question 1 drop-down
        field and then type an answer to the recovery question in the Answer1 field.
     6. Select a second question type from the Recovery Question 2 drop-down field and
        then type an answer to the recovery question in the Answer2 field.
     7. Type your e-mail address in the Email field. (optional)
     8. Click Next.



Tips during the application process:

      All Dates must be entered in the format MM/DD/YYYY – So, May 10, 1978 must be
      entered as 05/10/1978. You must include leading zeroes, the slashes (/), and the full 4-
      digit year. If you are not certain of a specific date, just use the first of the month.


       All Telephone numbers must be entered in the format 999-999-9999, including the
       dashes (-).


       To move Next or Previous or to revisit any page completed using the menu on the
       left, you must have entered all required fields on the page that is currently
       displayed.


       If you have any error messages on the page, they will be displayed at the top of
       the page.

Pages that have the ADD button:


      On pages where you are asked to provide multiple entries (Address, Employment
      History, References and Skills), there is an ADD button. Use the ADD button when
      you have another entry to make. When you have typed your final entry, scroll to
      the bottom of the page and use the NEXT button to go the next page.

      If you click on the ADD button, but do not have another entry, you can use the Red
      X to remove the empty entry.




      If you can see the ADD button, but cannot click on it, that means that you have
      entered the maximum number of entries, scroll to the bottom of the page and click
      Next to move to the next page.


Contact Information Page:


      On the Contact Information page, please provide at least one email address if you
      have one. This will be visible to the Hiring manager and may be used to contact
      you. The one entered on the Login Account setup page is not visible to the
      manager.

Circle K Select Survey (Assessment):


       Part of our job application process is the Circle K Select Survey and your application
       will not be complete and visible to the store managers unless it is complete. The
       assessment has 3 parts, Section 1 has 92 questions, Section 2 has 18 questions and
       Section 3 (an arithmetic test) has 14 questions.


       Move from page to page in the assessment using the Next button. If you do not
       see the Next button, scroll all the way to the bottom, then it should be visible.


       The Save and Close button can be used from any page if you want to completely
       exit the Job application system to return at a later time using the User Name and
       password that you created.


Printing a copy of your application:

       The Review and Submission page has a link to display a pdf document of your
       application. Click on that link.




Starting a second application:

      You can only have one application in the system at a time. If no one acts on it after
      45 days, it will be released and you will be allowed to apply again. You will be
      required to make up a new Username.


Miscellaneous System problems:

      If at any point you are returned to the Login page --
      Please log back into the application, you can resume where you left off by using the
      Menu items on the left. If you do not see “Thank you for submitting your
      application”, your application is not complete.


      Problem with the Assessment - Cannot see Next button or Scroll bar
      This is a problem with your screen resolution or display. Try adjusting your resolution or
      zoom.

Problem with the Assessment – Assessment doesn’t open
The assessment does not work with Names which have an Apostrophe. If this is your
situation, please return to the Name Information page, and remove the apostrophe.
After completing the Assessment, you can return to the Name Information page and
retype the apostrophe.


After the Assessment, you are returned to the Login page --
1 – Log into the application
2 – Using the menu on the left, click on Assessments
3 – Click on the “Begin Assessment” button (a screen will flash by and disappear)
4 – The button will turn gray and enable the Next button
5 – Click on the Next button
6 – Sign and click on the Submit Application button.
7 – The page with the message “Thank you for submitting your application” will now
display.


Error on Assessment Page
If you are getting an error when clicking on the Begin Assessment button on the
Assessment page, you will need to make a browser permissions change. This page
requires that 3rd party cookies and pop-ups be enabled in your browser. You may
also need to disable “Add-on’s”.

      You get the message “Your application is expired.”
      Please start a new application. You will be required to make up a new Username.


      Cannot display pdf Documents
      If you are using Firefox and cannot display the pdf documents (Circle K Job
      descriptions on the Prescreen question page or the Job Application pdf on the
      Review and Submission page), and you get a pop-up window asking if you want to
      save the document, or what program to use to open it – this indicates that you do
      not have the Adobe reader installed and/or you have not set it as your default. You
      will need to install Adobe Reader and set the Firefox “Preference” menu for “PDF” to
      default to “Use Adobe Reader”.


If this still doesn’t answer your question:


      You may be experiencing a problem with a setting in your browser or on your PC
      (like a Pop-up or Ad-ware blocker) or perhaps you have a special Toolbar (such as
      Yahoo) that tries to “help” by auto-completing some fields for you.


      You can apply using the computer in one of our stores, but you may need to
      schedule a time with the store manager as it is used for business purposes as well.


      Or you can go to a public internet site, like a library and use a computer there.
