2011 Youth Mens Tournaments Application

							                           APPLICATION/INFORMATION FOR THE
                                 2011 MCPC
                          Youth and Men’s Golf Tournaments
ELIGIBILITY: Morris County Residents and Registered Non-Residents age 12 and over for the Men’s Tournament. For the
Youth Division: Must be a Morris County Resident or Registered Non-Residents and must be of age 9 – 17. The 9 – 12 age
group must have completed an MCPC Junior Clinic Program or equivalent (supporting documentation must be provided with
this application); Ages 13 - 17 must provide demonstrable proof, e.g., a current USGA handicap index or other proof of golf
experience. The number of entries per tournament is restricted and is indicated below.

ENTRY FEE: Enclose the entry fee (Check only) of $60.00 for the Men’s; $25.00 for the Youth, payable to Morris County
Park Commission (MCPC) along with your entry form. Refunds will not be provided after Thursday July 7, 2011. Entry Fee
includes: Power Cart (excepting the Youth), reservation fee, greens fee, lunch for Youth and lunch for those in the Men’s
Finals, and Prizes.

Qualifying Round: Youth/Men: Tuesday July 12, 2011 at FLANDERS VALLEY GC (W/B), Rain Date July 19, 2011
Final Round:      Men: Monday July 18, 2011 at BERKSHIRE VALLEY GC,             Rain Date July 25, 2011


41st Youth Tournament (Limited to first 52 Applicants):
Flight/Format Information: There shall be 3 Flights, The Age 9 -12 Flight, The Age 13 & 14 Flight, and the
 Age 15-17 Flight. All play is stroke play, gross. The Age 9 – 12 Flight shall play 9 holes. The Age 13 - 14 Flight and the
 Age 15-17 Flight shall play 18 holes.
 This is a one day tournament. Caddies/Spectators are NOT allowed.
 TEE Times: Tee Times will be assigned beginning 7:00am. Tee-off assignments will be available at MCPC Golf Shops after
 12:00PM, Saturday July 9. It is the player’s responsibility to call any MCPC golf shop for tee time and pairings. No special
 pairings will be accommodated.
TEE BLOCKS:
Youth: Age 9-12 Flight: Special Tees (Based on US KIDS Guidelines); Age 13&14: Red Tees,
Age 15 - 17: Boys: White Tees. Girls Age 15 -17 Red Tees.
 In the event of rain on a date of play, players are to report to the scheduled golf course for instructions.

  53rd Men’s Tournament – GROSS or NET (Limited to First 104 Entries):
  Format: Players must indicate (below) if they are competing for Gross or for Net, one selection only. Net score shall be
           calculated as Gross score minus 90% of the competitor’s course handicap.
  First Round (Qualifier) (FVGC): Tee Times will be assigned beginning at 10:30am (Both sides).
  Assignments will be available at MCPC Golf Shops after 12:00PM, Saturday July 9. It is the player’s responsibility to
  call any MCPC golf shop for tee time and pairings. No special pairings will be accommodated.
  The number of players qualifying for the Finals for Gross shall be the top 18 plus ties. The number of players qualifying for
  Net shall be the top 64 plus ties

  Final Round (BVGC): Assigned Tee Times begin at 10:00am. Tee times/pairings for the final round will be available at all
  MCPC Golf Shops by Saturday July 16. It is the player’s responsibility to call any MCPC golf shop for their tee time/pairing.
  In the event of rain on a date of play, players are to report to the scheduled golf course for instructions.
  Pairings will be made by qualifying score ranking. Gross score for the players in Gross, Net score for the players in Net.

  Tee Blocks: Gross: Blue Tees Net: White Tees
  Caddies: Caddies are allowed for this tournament. However, caddies must walk.

Additional Information for Both Tournaments:
A player without a USGA GHIN handicap shall only compete in the Gross portion of the tournament.
In the event of rain on a date of play, players are to report to the scheduled golf course for instructions.
Depending on turnout, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to adjust start times and the number of qualifiers.
