We need on-stage and off-stage talent!
Auditions open to painters, hula hoopers, singers, Lego builders, poets, gymnasts, jugglers,
dancers, sculptors, sewers, comedians, musicians, actors, knitters, photography artists, hat
designers, backstage hands, magicians, and stage announcers to host the show!
Come share your special Talents with us “On” and “Off” stage.
Paint a picture with a friend, enter the cookie competition, sign a song with your Grandpa, twirl a
basketball on your finger for 30 seconds, etc.
Talent comes in all forms and Beaver Creek students have lots of it!

*On-stage performers must perform stage act at Auditions Wed. March 7th. Please have your music
ready and prepared on a CD. Preparation is your responsibility and part of you Audition process. You are
required to make all Rehearsals and the Dress Rehearsal. You are also required to take part on stage for the
Opener and Finale.
*Off-stage performers need to bring a sample/photo of artwork in progress to Auditions on Wed.
March 7th. It does not have to be completed. You are invited to attend all rehearsals. You are only
required to make the Dress Rehearsal. You are invited to take part on stage for the show Opener and
*Backstage Crew must submit a Talent Show Application Form. You are invited to attend the
Audition and all rehearsals. You are only required to make Rehearsal #3 and the Dress Rehearsal. You are
invited to take part on stage for the show Opener and Finale. Come to Auditions if interested.
*Cookie Bakers must submit Talent Show Application Form. You are invited to take part on stage for
the show Opener and Finale. Come to Auditions if interested.

TALENT SHOW GUIDELINES:
*Adult Coach must attend and help your act at audition and rehearsals.
*On-stage acts may not be longer than 3 minutes. Practice timing it.
*Talent Show Application Form must be turned in to office by February 29, 2012. This is one week
before Auditions. Please fill out additional forms for multiple acts/projects.
*Max. two stage acts (group or solo), two art pieces, and two cookie entries per student.
*All performers need to provide their own music in CD form by Auditions Wed. March 7th. Music
lyrics need to be age appropriate! Please no lip syncing.
*Off-stage artists (3D, rendering, Lego, photography) must choose one of two themes:
1). Springtime (ex. nature, plants, flowers, warm weather, gardens…)
2). The Future (ex. space travel, future cars, green Earth ideas, recycling resources…).
*All artwork must be created outside of school and not in the classroom.
*All 3D artwork (knitting, Legos, clay, Play-Do, Popsicle stick art, wood, paper mache, origami,
etc.) must be able to fit inside a box no bigger than 24 inches by 24 inches. It must sit on a base
and follow theme guidelines. Give your project a title and print it on a small index card. Place the
card on the front of your base along with your grade level and name. Also include a hand written
summary of what inspired you to create your project. Remember nice handwriting can be an art
*All paintings/drawings/ renderings, photography, etc. must be mounted on a black cardboard no
bigger than 24 inches by 24 inches. All artwork must follow theme guidelines. Give your artwork a
title and print it on a small index card. Place the card at the bottom right of your board along with
your grade level and name. Also include on a separate piece of paper a hand written summary of
what inspired you to create your project. Remember nice handwriting can be an art too!
*All art projects may be dropped off at the end of Dress Rehearsal on April 12 th or after school at
the beginning of set-up on April 13th. All art projects need to be signed in by a parent volunteer!
Please do not just drop your project off and leave.
*All entries must be homemade and must have a written list of ingredients for presentation. You may have a
maximum of two entries. Cookie, cookie theme, and cookie presentation will be judged! Cookie themes will
be the same as artwork: Springtime or The Future. Please make 12 to 24 cookies in any shape, size, or
configuration. Cookies will be judged in different categories:
“Most Nutritious and Tasty” “So Bad For You But Yummy”
“Overall Most Creative” “Best Designed Theme Cookie”
“Judges Award for most Unusual Cookie” “Audience Favorite Award”
Presentation of cookie containers will also be judged! Design and decorate your cookie box, plate, tin, or
tray. All cookies must be dropped off at 6:15pm Opening Night. Judging of cookies will take place between
6:30 and 7:00 by a panel of volunteer parents. (Volunteer parents may not have a son or daughter
competing in the competition). All cookies will be offered to audience members during intermission and
winners will be announced during Act Two. Cookie bakers must fill out Talent Show Application Form.
