Record and Submit A4 Time

   1.         Click the Self Service link.

   2.         Click the Report Time button or Time Reporting menu.

   3.         Click the Timesheet button.


   4.         Click the Collapse (Ctrl+Y) Menu button.

   5.         If you have the standard Time and Labor configuration (see Setting User Preferences
              topic) your Timesheet page will display based on the settings you selected.
   6.         The hours you see here are your default work schedule.

              We will set the Time Reporting Code for these hours to Regular time.

              Click the Time Reporting Code list.

   7.         Select Reg - Regular Work Hours.

   8.         Click to Scroll Right.
   9.         Some agencies (such as INDOT) are required to enter a TL Product code, or other
              additional fields.

              You should complete the fields that display and are relevant for your agency.

              If your agency does not require TL Product, you will skip this step in your time entry.

              Click the Look up TL Product button.

   10.        Select DOT.

   11.        If you were only reporting Regular time, your time recording would be complete.

              In this example, however, we will proceed to enter additional leave times.

              Click the Plus icon to add a new row.

   12.    The time for Fri 4/6 will now be switched from the Reg row to your new leave time row.

          First, we'll enter the leave hours in the appropriate square.

          Enter a valid value e.g. "7.5" .
   13.    Now click in Friday's regular time row.

   14.    Press [Delete].
   15.    Now we must enter the Reporting Code for your leave row.

          Click the Time Reporting Code list.

   16.    Select HOL - Holiday.

   17.    For agencies such as INDOT, type in or select your TL Product for this line.

          Enter a valid value e.g. "DOT".
   18.    You may continue to add as many leave lines as required.

          Click the Plus icon to add a new row.

   19.    Enter the leave hours for this new row in the appropriate square(s).

          Enter a valid value e.g. "7.5".
   20.    Now click in Thursday's regular time row to remove the regular time.

   21.    Press [Delete].
   22.    Click the Time Reporting Code list.

   23.    Click an entry in the list.
          Select VAC - Vacation.

   24.    Click the scrollbar.
   25.    For agencies such as INDOT, type in or select your TL Product for this line.

          Enter a valid value e.g. "DOT".
   26.    Click the Plus icon to add a new row.

   27.    We will enter a partial sick day for Wed 3/28.

          Enter a valid value e.g. "4.5".
   28.    Click on Wednesday's regular time row.

   29.        Press [Delete].
   30.        Enter a valid value e.g. "3".
   31.        Click the Time Reporting Code list.

   32.        Select Sick - Sick Time.

   33.        Click the scrollbar.
   34.        For agencies such as INDOT, type in or select your TL Product for this line.

              Enter a valid value e.g. "DOT".
   35.        Note - If you have entered any lines in error, you may use the Minus icon to delete these.
   36.        Click to Scroll Left.
   37.        Once you have completed your time entry, you should do both of the following to
              complete your time submission:

              1. Save using Save for Later button.

              2. Submit your time using the Submit button.
   38.        Click the Save for Later button to save your changes.

              Note: This will re-order your lines alphabetically by Time Reporting Code.

   39.        The system will allow you to check for potential errors.

              Click the Yes button.

   40.        Once you have saved, you can review your time recorded at the bottom of the page.

              You will notice that your daily hours recorded are now listed as Saved but not Submitted.

              Click to Scroll Down.
   41.        Each line has an optional comment area to record additional information for a particular
              day.

              These comments are optional though some agencies may have specific comment
              requirements for special types of leave.

              We will demonstrate this a Sick leave comment. Note: Doing this is not a State
              requirement at this time

              Click the Comments button for the line where sick leave was taken on 3/28.


   42.        You may fill in explanation text in the comment box (if required) and click Save to return
              to time reporting.

   43.    Click the Cancel button to return without entering comments.

   44.    Once your time reporting is complete and Saved , you may use the Submit button to
          submit this period's time to your manager.
          Click the Submit button.

   45.    The system will acknowledge your successful time submission.
          Click the OK button.

   46.    You will now see at the bottom of the page that the status of your time has changed to
          Submitted.

          You have now completed time reporting for this pay period.
   47.    You have now completed the basics of time entry on the PeopleSoft HRMS 8.9 Time and
          Labor application.

          You should be able to:
          - Enter Regular Time
          - Enter Leave Time
          - Save/Submit your Time
          End of Procedure.
