ROSEVILLE – Full military honors will be accorded Saturday to Pfc. Fred H. Spear, 19,
19142 Delaware, who died Jan. 26 after being wounded in battle at Quang Tri, Vietnam.
Mr. Spear, who was wounded five days after landing in Vietnam as a member of the
Third Platoon Company A of the First Amtac Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps, died in the
field hospital.
After 9:30 a.m. requiem mass at Sacred Heart Church, the cortege will proceed to
Cadillac memorial Gardens, East, Clinton Township, where a Marine detail will conduct
graveside rites.
Mr. Spear, who had been a member of the Marine Corps for six months, attended
Roseville high School before joining the work force at Wolverine Bronze, Inc., Warren.
